Summary:

Beautifully restored one bedroom adobe casita in the heart of Canyon Rd. A retreat for solo travelers or couples who appreciate historical Santa Fe architecture and the luxury of updated amenities. The casita has brick flooring, with brightly colored Spanish inspired tiling tastefully incorporated into the decor, intricately carved wooden cabinetry and doors, and wooden vigas throughout.

The Space:

Relax in bed or on the sofa to read, work, or take in a movie. The fully functioning and equipped kitchen is perfect for meals at home, and there is a built in dining nook for eating indoors. If you’d prefer an outdoor atmosphere, there is small private courtyard with two seats and a small table.

Reliable high-speed Wi-Fi and free private parking for one vehicle are available for the most carefree stay possible. Located on highly desirable Canyon Rd, you are within walking distance to a plethora of shops, restaurants, theaters, and experiences such as the local farmer’s market and free concerts in both the Railyard and Plaza.

Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire casita, private courtyard, and one parking space.

The Neighborhood:

You couldn’t ask for a more perfect location than accommodations on Canyon Road. The neighborhood is safe and classically Santa Fean in every way. A park on the East end of the street compliments the restaurants and galleries to be found toward the West. At about a mile from the plaza, you can walk along the river path or down Canyon Road to explore the shopping, eating, museums and general historical charm of downtown without any hassle. Hiking and mountain biking trails can all be found within a little more than a mile or so of the residence. For winter sports or just a view from the top, the Santa Fe Ski Basin is a beautiful meander about thirty minutes up the mountain and into the aspens.

Getting Around:

Once in town, getting around is easy. Downtown Santa Fe and the surrounding historic districts are compact and most conveniently traveled on foot. It's no wonder Santa Fe was voted one of America's Top Rated Walking Cities.

The Santa Fe Pickup Shuttle

Free shuttle service that starts and ends in front of the former New Mexico Film Museum (the Jean Cocteau Cinema) on Montezuma Avenue and runs counter-clockwise with various stops around downtown.

Bus Service

Santa Fe has public transportation called Santa Fe Trails Bus Service

Ride-Sharing Service

Uber & Lyft rides can easily be arranged in Santa Fe using their apps.

Downtown Parking

Metered parking spots in downtown Santa Fe cost $2.00 an hour and are in operation from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays.

Bikeways and Trails

Bicycle paths and trails for all levels of riders are located in and around the city.

Other Things to Note:

There is a clothes washer but no dryer, only a drying rack.

The landscaper comes every other Monday to clean up around the patios, driveway, and yard areas.

Baby equipment is available on a first come first serve basis for an additional fee. We can provide more details if you are interested.

Interaction with Guests:

Guests will have access to the entire casita including the private courtyard and one parking space. Our home is equipped with a key lock box. A code for the lock box will be provided prior to your arrival.

The location of this unit was hard to beat. You can walk to excellent dining and art galleries. It's a very short and pleasant drive to downtown. The adobe structure is old and authentic. The interior is quirky and rustic, but it's also dark and could have been cleaner. We had trouble with the TV because there were network or router issues. The property manager quickly responded to my text, but the suggestion for a fix did not fully rectify the issue.

We very much enjoyed our 2-week stay here, tucked away in a quiet alley off of Canyon Rd. It was comfortable, quiet, pleasant, had pretty much everything we needed for our stay, and was walkable to so much! The kitchen was equipped so that we could cook if we wanted. The front patio was perfect for morning coffee. Parking was a bit tight, but we did fine with a Lexus SUV. The host was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Our stay was really good and we loved the property. Walked all over the place and enjoyed the quiet nights. Price was good and everything was really nice. A few things that we would have liked to be better - internet connectivity (I’m an IT director and still had to reset it each day and work for 5-10m to get the TV online, and even then only the slower network worked), brick step into the bathroom is a problem and dangerous (easy to break a toe) - this should be changed into a simple ramp with a little masonry work. Also would have liked the bathroom door to have a stopper of some sort, it’s impossible to leave open otherwise. This place is phenomenal overall though - i would not hesitate to stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend to anyone else wanting a great time in Santa Fe!

It was hard to find the place initially, as we arrived late at night. But after we found the little hidden ally, we discovered the little canyon adobe was perfectly secluded & charming. We really enjoyed this beautiful space. It was spotless, and the energy is very peaceful. The kitchen was well-stocked with the things we needed to cook with (minus the oil). We were delighted by the selection of books on the shelf and playing cards! The neighborhood was also a delight, quiet and very centralized for walking around old Santa Fe. The Tea House across the street was delicious. We highly recommend it! The only thing I can think to mention is that there was no shower curtain. I felt bad getting the bathroom wet. Other than that, it's the perfect getaway for two and we look forward to coming back for years to come!

Traditional New Mexico “casita” with plenty of rustic charm. Nicely located in arts district of Santa Fe. This was a pleasant, mostly restful place to stay during a long road trip. Communication with property manager was very good.

I had an excellent stay at this property. Everything was as described. The property was very clean. Perhaps they could have stocked a little more coffee, but I got by. The location on Canyon Rd. is very convenient to galleries and shops and both. El Farol and The Compound.

We have nothing negative to say! Great little house for the two of us. Beautifully furnished. Couple of things we had to get used to: the tight driveway and parking and the TV being in the bedroom. But that will not hinder us to stay here again! It was lovely!

House is clean, communication is quick, and location is convenient. Had breakfast across the street at The Teahouse, which is really nice. Walked in the neighborhood and enjoyed all the artist’s creations.
