Candlewood Lakefront-Exclusive- Ideal Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything in the listing was accurate. The property is on a hill so the view is lovely. However, it is difficult for people with limited mobility to go down to the water. We really appreciated the responsive owner, the cleanliness, wood pile, and grill.

Everything was perfect! The property is amazing and fully stocked with everything anyone would possibly need for vacation. The house is so cool and unique. My kids loved all the musical instruments so much so that they may even sign up for more music classes. Thank you to the host who was really responsive and accommodating . I’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO properties but this hands down was one of the best!

The location is the best on the lake.

We are a family of 6 adults and one grandchild. This property had enough room for everyone and was perfect for our family get away. The house had so many amenities, a boat dock, canoe, kayak, life vests, beach toys, so many outside places to sit as well. We enjoyed the entire property. Thomas was so great, so quick to respond to any request, we could not ask for a better host. We would definitely book this property again. The location of this property was amazing as well. So close to anything you may need. A true find.

Tom is an excellent host. Prompt, friendly and accommodating. The location of the property is excellent and the lake access was wonderful.

The home was a great find for our family vacation with anywhere from 2 - 8 people, and a small dogs. Walking down to the dock and the small beach on the property was enjoyed several times throughout the day. The property was a 5-10 minute drive to all of the stores that were necessary for our supplies.

This was a great property for our family getaway. The kids loved the large yard and easy access to the lake. There is an easy, shallow walk in and a dock that allows for jumping in. There was an ample deck and great views of the lake from the house. There are toys, games and lake supplies already in stock and plenty of seating. Tom was very responsive with any needs we had. A great spot all around.

This location was ideal for our lake vacation. With some local family and some out-of-towners, this house allowed us to hang out together, play in the yard, hop on the boat and zip around the water. The house has a relaxed, lived-in feel with the eclectic decor and abundance of furniture. We noticed that some of the outdoor furniture could use repair, and some rooms inside were a little less kempt than others, but in a way, that lent itself to the casual feel. We opted to use the kayak and canoe, along with some floats we brought, so we enjoyed our time down at the water as well as throughout the house and yard. Because of the convenient location, ample space, beautiful views, and excellent company, we all had a wonderful week. Tom is a great host and was very responsive and available to us before, during and after our visit. We even left a phone charger there and Tom personally dropped it off at my in-law's home. We would love to stay at this house again next time we all collect in Danbury!

We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at this home on Candlewood Lake. The house is more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The master bathroom suite in particular was unusually large for a rental home. The yard is great for lawn games (Tom supplies many himself) and the gradual decline down to the water's edge is a lot easier to manage than some houses on the lake. The location itself is perfect ... feels very secluded (we liked that there were only trees across the inlet from us), but yet you're only minutes away from everything you might need on Federal Road. Tom is extremely responsive and accommodating ... he answers texts usually within a couple minutes. However, the house is so well stocked it really has everything you'd need. Highly recommend!!
