House is in a great location with immediate access for kayaking. House has a great layout with plenty of functional space. Any negatives were minor....but they should be addressed on such a quality location and nice house. I suppose maintainace assistance is challenging, especially during the busy season. However, the garage door Only functions by hand. Some of the smaller upper decks need some love & attention, with wood replacement. And the hand rail at rear of house, going to the dock/water area, was loose and could become a safety issue. All in all these are somewhat minor issues and probably catch my eye more so because I'm in the construction industry. They wouldn't stop me from renting again....but should be addressed. But this house provided a great vacation.
Very homey and a great location, gorgeous views. House felt clean although the carpet could stand to be replaced. Ample storage, kitchen could use a few extra large pots/pans. A few other things to be fixed and this house would be perfect- new decking and exterior doors and in need of kids games for those rainy days. Overall, very homey and we loved it, certainly would return.
Husband loved the canal in the back, crabbing and casting for bate. Very convenient for beaches. Stay included when hurricane came thru only problem was upstairs door leaked. Internet was challenging as we didn’t have an apple account, thank goodness our daughter did.
The house was very pleasant, roomy and clean . We did a lot of cooking for Thanksgiving and the kitchen was well equipped. The view was great and we enjoyed fishing off the dock, though didn’t catch anything, and played corn hole . Neighborhood great for walking, too. Very nice place!!
We loved it. The place was right on the canal so my husband and I could kayak out to the sound. It was heaven. Everything was super clean and well kept. My teenage daughter wanted a more modern looking place but after just one day she really liked it. The view at sunset from the entry to the sound was how imagine heaven to be. I highly recommend this place.
We loved the house and the neighborhood it was awesome we loved the Cora tree and loved being on the sound
Just returned from a delightful week’s stay at this gorgeous location. The house had ample room for our party of three couples to sleep in privacy and each have our own full bathrooms. We cooked most of our own meals there in a very adequate and complete kitchen. (There was even a blender available when someone suggested frozen drinks to beat the heat.) The living area was bright, clean, and spacious and usually gathered to play games in the evening before retiring for the next beach day. We were fortunately located close to the Cape Hatteras lighthouse where we were able to acquire a permit to drive out to the beach as well as ramp 49 which had a conveniently located gas station where we were able to gather ice and drinks for the cooler. One of our favoring experiences at the end of the day was viewing the sunset off of the deck upstairs overlooking the bay and the tops of trees. Truly a magical experience. We loved this house and look forward to coming back next year!
We had a wonderful time at this house. It was everything we expected and some more. It was like staying at a friends house for vacation. Things you should know before you stay here: wear shoes on the outside decks. There is only one tv in the living room which was great for us but if you have kids may not be. This house actually has stuff. There’s spices to cook, foil, plastic wrap, dishwasher soap. We replenished what we used but it was great. The coffee pot here is a coffee pot so if your like us I’m glad we brought our Keurig. The area is nice and quiet. Fishing and crabbing off the dock was nice. The use of the garage was amazing loading the Jeep up the night before to head out to the 4x4 beaches was great.
