Calfkiller Cottage

The house was clean, stocked with the essentials and has a beautiful piece of property. Even though it was in a residential area, it felt private and serene. LOVED the soft bed (guest room), the shower (amazing!) and the hot tub! I would definitely stay at this place again!

This was a great property to stay in. Sparta is a super cute town with lots of charm. The house was perfect for our girls weekend. It was close enough to Fall Creek Falls for hiking with all the convenience of Sparta. The house was clean. Everything we needed was there. The beds were comfortable with great pillows. The shower was amazing. Hosts were responsive and I would stay there again.

Host was extremely responsive, check in was smooth. Hot tub was nice.

We had a great time at the house. We brought our own kayak trailer, so we loved that the house had the under deck storage. Plenty of parking. The neighborhood is older, but it was very quiet and felt safe. The hot tub was a wonderful addition. The kitchen was well supplied and they even had cleaning supplies, paper towels, spices, butter, fridge condiments. More than we were expecting, because we brought our own supplies too. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were nice. That's always a huge plus. The shower is awesome and had great water pressure. No complaints other than they could add some chopping knives. So maybe just bring your one favorite from home if you plan to cook a lot like we did.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We really appreciated the many extras they provide that make your stay extra special.

Excellent location, hot tub was awesome after hiking the mountains all day. A very thoughtful VRBO with many nice surprise touches (like a broom staged outside to clean the leaves off of car).

Beautiful cottage! Saw wildlife in the back yard. Burgess falls nearby. Excellent shower and hot tub. Wish it was closer to the river.We would stay there again! Very restful and relaxing.

This cottage was perfect for my family. My teenage boys were thrilled to have a couch with recliners facing the TV just like home! They also loved the shower which had excellent water pressure. Our host shared restaurant recommendations and was easy to communicate with. The location was a great jumping off point for hiking in several state parks and exploring Cumberland Caverns. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 6 days. The house was perfectly located for chasing waterfalls. We seen 18 waterfalls in 4 days. The house had everything we needed. The hot tub was nice after hiking. The shower was awesome, might of been the best shower I’ve ever had.

Quiet and peaceful! We saw some lovely deer in the backyard. Loved the guest book as well. Would stay again!

Carol was very attentive via messages. Calfkiller Cottage was comfortable very quiet and well appointed. We were visiting family who lived 1.2 miles away so the location suited us well. Great shower with great water pressure. We would stay there again.

Very cozy, clean, and comfortable. I didn't have time to use the Jacuzzi, unfortunately, but it looked well maintained like the rest of the house. The neighborhood is quiet, and the location is very convenient.I would definitely recommend this property.

We contacted the host prior to booking to discuss our unique situation. We were transporting an American bald eagle from OK to NC and needed an overnight stay. They were delighted to accommodate us (which was a huge relief)!The space was beautiful! Lots of room, all the amentities, located in a wooded area, bed was comfy and OMG .... the shower was heavenly!!! If you're driving a smaller car, parking in the drive is easy from the one-lane wide street. We were in our big truck, so we had to circle around the property and 4-wheel drive it into the parking area (advised by host prior to arrival).Host was quick to reply to any questions and we (and Leroy) enjoyed our overnight stay in this quiet and beautiful place surrounded by trees.

Got a little confused finding the entrance but the host is super responsive and very nice.

We used the house mostly as a jumping off point for our adventures but we did manage to get some use out of the hot tub while we were there. It is within a short drive to a bunch of wayerfalls and hiking spots.

Came to Sparta for family reunion. This place was perfect for my husband and I. Carol the host thought of so many small details that added to our comfort and convenience. Built in chargers in nightstands with cords! Flashlights in every room. Tons of towels and pillows. Coffee maker that could use Keurig cups or make a pot. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Easy check-in and quick response to questions.

Took my kids to kayak to Burgess Falls and then stayed the night in Sparta. Wish we could have stayed longer. The house was nice and roomy and the kids enjoyed the hot tub.

The house was clean and cozy. The yard needed some upkeep but there had also been a lot of rain. The location was close to our family we were visiting.

Cute very clean loved the hot tub wish it had more of a privacy fence around it. TVs in bedroom Really need to be upgraded atleast 32 inch lol the secondary was so tiny! Grounds were beautiful so peaceful

Property is small but for the 3 of us it was perfect enough room for our 2 night stay wish the beshad bigger tv/ other bedrooms did not but we made it work!

Loved the cute cozy home. Perfect outdoor space to sit and relax. Would definitely stay again. Only down side is tv in our room didnt work but the livingroom tv was great.

We had a great time during our stay and the house had everything we could have needed and wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the location put us close up several things we wanted to do. Great communication with host as well!
