Burgess Falls bungalow minutes from Cookeville

This is one of the better VRBOs we have stayed in. The interior of this property is excellent. Everything was very clean. As for the exterior, we also really enjoyed the gazebo in the backyard and sitting on the front porch in the morning as the sun came up. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is also a great place. It's quite a distance from just about anything. It's about 20 minutes from shopping in Sparta or Cookeville. If you want to know what it's like to live in the country, this is the place for you. I highly recommend it!

Terrific place to stay for our Girls Trip. immaculate home with everything we needed. The kayaking trip to Burgess Falls through Kayaking Adventures of Tennessee was fabulous. We loved it!

Property met all expectations and we recommend this accommodation. Place was well kept, clean, decorated tastefully. A great vacation rental property!

House was great for us. We stay in Sparta several times a year as my daughter and grandchildren live there. We always stay at a hotel in Cookeville but this was so much better. Our only problem was response to a garbage issue. The outside can was 3/4 full when we arrived and was full soon thereafter. Asked about p/u multiple times with no response. Even had to send garbage to my daughters. Other than that, all good.

Clean and welcoming home

I can honestly say this is the cleanest and most comfortable place that I have ever stayed away from home. Visited this area for my daughter's wedding this week-end and having an inviting and pleasant place to stay in between times meant a lot. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

Beautiful and quiet location. Short 4 minute drive to Macedonia meadows! The house was lovely and had great amenities.

Super cute cottage! It was cozy and very close to Burgess falls and an easy drive to other nearby state parks.

We came to check out different waterfalls in the surrounding areas. This was a great spot for a home base to see the sights.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful, and the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous—just about 10 minutes from Walmart, which was super convenient. The views driving in and out were stunning.We especially loved the outdoor space, including the fire pit and grill. It was such a great place to relax and unwind.One suggestion: it would be great to update the shower head for better water pressure.Unfortunately, we experienced some plumbing issues during our stay and had to cut our trip short. However, we appreciated that the host refunded us for the night we didn’t stay.Overall, it was a lovely spot with a lot of potential, and with a few small improvements, it could be perfect!

Perfect location for all sorts of outdoor activities. We were here as a family with two young children. The house was the perfect size for us. It was also super clean when we checked in which is always appreciated. We definitely would come and stay again.

Lovely place in a really nice location. Was not pleased with the communication. Toilet seat in the master was so loose it could not be used. Informed the host and received no response.

The house was clean, stocked with essentials and as advertised. We did a bunch of waterfalls all less than an hour drive. Would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice place to stay and it was cheaper then a motel.

Lovely bungalow with excellent access to burgess falls and local winery. Clean, great outdoor covered seating and fire pit. Everything you need for a comfortable stay!! Will recommend to friends & family!

We were in town for business and needed a comfortable space to stay and this house did not disappoint! We were pleased with the amenities and would stay here again!

This house was exactly as described and very clean which we loved! The check in process does feel a little excessive and weird semi “like a scam” as others have mentioned however this home is just managed by a rental company so a little different check in than when renting from an individual who manages the rental. Would definitely stay here again should we be in the area!

Quiet and very clean

We found the house to be just as described if not better. It is beautifully decorated. They have provided the small details that make the stay very nice. The beds are comfortable and extra blankets are available for comfy movie watching on the couch. We were so pleased with the location and how close the house is to Burgess falls. We can't think of anything that they could do to make the stay any better than it already is. We were completely happy.

The house was very clean, it even had a nice floral aroma as you entered. The sheets smelled freshly washed. This was very pleasing to me, however, my daughter-in-law has issues with scented things. So as much as I loved it, if you have issues with fragrances, this might not be the place for you. Or you could probably let the owner be aware of your sensitivities ahead of time. We really enjoyed staying at the house. It was nice to sit on the front porch in the morning and enjoy the warmth of the morning sun.

Several days before our stay, our credit card company notified us of a 200 charge by an “unknown” entity, (Preauth Steven’s Real). Neither of us could figure out who or what that was so my husband cancelled his card. Later I realized it was the VRBO. I contacted them to inquire and they said it was a deposit they take and we would be refunded after our stay. The day of check in we called and told them of our new card number.After we were there for two days, in the evening around 6:30pm someone parked outside the rental. They came and knocked on the door. It was a guy who said he didnt’t know someone was staying there and he was going to replace the air conditioner filter. My husband asked who upheld worked for and the guy said Steven’s Realty.We were never notified he was coming. We didn't feel comfortable staying there after he left so since we had finished our business in town we decided to pack up and leave 3 days early. We took pictures of everything before we left in case someone was able to re-enter and stay there. Very disappointing.If the guy from Steven’s didn’t know we were there then how was he going to enter to change out the filter?Every time I texted VRBO it was like texting a computer or automated system. I no longer feel comfortable or safe renting from VRBO.Also, there was a note in the laundry room that said we were to take the garbage can down to the road for garbage pick up on Friday. I paid over 500, they can take care of the garbage!

The place was clean and very accommodating and we would definitely consider returning again.

The property was just as advertised. Furnishings were clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 people or more and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was very restful and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.
