CAPTAIN COOK, Hawaii
The Beautiful Edge of the World is a very special place. Peaceful and secluded but close to many fine (and reasonable) restaurants, Not far from the Kona airport, the location is great for snorkeling, hiking, swimming with the dolphins, manta ray dives, golf, and much, much more.
We are located on a five acre working farm, surrounded by macadamia nut, coffee, papaya, avocado, and mango trees. If you re a coffee drinker, you ll be served my own 100% pure, organic Kona coffee every morning.(Don t mean to brag about our coffee, but many folks have told us it s the best they ve ever tasted. We wholesale to our guests, any quantity.) If you would like to try my own noni tea please let me know in advance. We also grow organic bananas, pineapple, guava, papaya, sour sop, Surinam cherries, atamoya, cheromoya, limes (Kafir and Tahitian), oranges (Washington Navel, Valencia, and Moro), sapodilla, Dragon fruit, mango, lychee, and passion fruit, some of which you will be served with breakfast, depending on the fruits in season. There are also abundant beautiful flowers scattered here and there.
Guests who stay for three days or more may use the microwave and refrigerator. We also offer free laundry service for guests who stay three days or more. We have complimentary hair dryers, beach towels and mats, limited snorkel equipment, and ice chests for our guests. Guests are welcome to use my computer for a quick check of their e-mail. We now have free WIFI throughout the house.
Our Budget Room is slightly smaller than our other two rooms but still quite large, wall to wall carpet, in-room safe, refrigerator, has one double bed and one twin bed, no TV or phone (however guests are welcome to use the ones in the living room). The private bathroom is two steps down the hallway. It overlooks the orchard and has a wonderful skylight. We have a table with a fabulous ocean view set up on the lanai for guests who stay in the Nut Room.

Nothing but positive things to say about the property and the hosts!
Thought we were renting a private space but walked in to find we were just getting a small bedroom in someone’s house. I told owner I was unhappy with the intimate quarters and thought the ad showed a more private place. He was condescending and arrogant so we left and didn’t not stay. I asked for a refund because of inaccurate listing but received no reply.
Great directions n recommendations from Kurt! Great breakfast!
