We stayed one night during a multi-state road-trip. This is a great causal space in a beautiful rural setting. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There’s a large kitchen area for meal prep, and the bed was comfortable. The best part was the view from the back porch, which was amazing! We even saw 3 deer in the morning. We would definitely stay again.
Great Location for a quiet weekend getaway!
I loved that the place was homey like i wasnt afraid to touch things like some places just feels to high classed for me. It was clean the people were super nice to me when i kept messaging because i couldnt find it (i get lost in my house lol) it was a good place to take your children it has a huge yard and!! Would stay again!!!
Stayed here for one night after snowboarding at Snowshoe Mountain. Pros - affordable for 2 people - portable heaters available in each room - quiet area - small town (Marlinton) located 10-15 minutes away - check in/out binder provided information around the area and contact info - landline phone - more than enough blankets to go around - hosts were able to assist late into the night - water heater worked well - enjoyed being to relax after snowboarding in a comfy couch and watching funny videos in the living room. Cons - directions provided via Expedia were wrong. I ended up asking a local for help locating the property - no cell signal around the property. Must obtain directions and check in email in Marlinton or area with cell signal - WiFi and TV power cut off late into the night and required assistance from hosts. - personally not a fan of reusable hygiene products. Recommend to bring your own soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion - handheld shower head did not work Overall, would book again now knowing where the property is, how to restart switch to WiFi/TV, bring toiletries next time. Please fix the handheld shower head. Thank you for your time
It was a nice stay, it would have been better except for the lady bugs inside. Overall had a good time at the property.
We needed a one night stay in the area of the Cass Scenic Railroad. The cabin was clean and as listed.
We had a wonderful stay at a great location to many state parks and the roadkill/harvest festival. We went to the New River Gorge National Park and Beartown State Park. The owners were quick to respond to our questions and would definitely stay here again.
The property details were perfect. We wanted rural, simple, and this VRBO rental was just what we wanted. It met our needs and we had a relaxing, quiet, and wonderful trip. Having coffee on the back deck area looking at the sunrise on the mountain, listening to the birds chirping, was exactly what this full-time nurse needed...perfect time off!
This property worked well for us to snowboard for the weekend. My o Lu recommendation is if you are coming here in winter it is very cold. The power shut down due to a couple plug in heaters being used. We were able to fix it however just a heads up. Stop for groceries a ways from town to bring things with you, there isn’t much close by ( to be expected in the mountains) All in all great experience.
Very clean and well maintained. Great place to stay on arrival or return from skiiing at Snowshoe (from south).
I feel like people just come to complain, but this met my needs perfectly. The shower was delightful. Though I don't know if I was supposed to, I was able to set the temperature to my liking. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. Everything was clean, neat, and cute.
We stayed here to enjoy the WV fall foliage.. this property is in a very rural setting, we even had deer in the front yard. It is great option if you're bringing a dog as it even has a fenced in play area
