It is a lovely outdoor property with a nice indoor fireplace conveniently located near outdoor attractions as well as downtown Asheville. We were disappointed by the lack of hot water on two different occasions. Also, an annoying humming noise was heard in the bedroom several nights and mornings. One evening, conversation was heard above the bedroom, which continued until after midnight.
My group and I loved our stay in Jason's place. We were looking for a weekend getaway that included time in nature, time to enjoy Asheville's best breweries and restaurants, and of course time for our two dogs to run around. Jason's place was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Jason as a host was wonderful. He was responsive whenever we had a question or needed a recommendation. And we so much appreciated him setting up the firepit for us while we were heading back from being out to brunch.
Absolutely loved staying at this property! It was clean, spacious, accommodating, and very close to Asheville and many hiking spots. The property was breathtakingly gorgeous and easy to find! Jason was very helpful, gave great recommendations, and quick to respond to questions. Would recommend this property to anyone and will stay here again on my next trip to Asheville!!
Everything was very nice , neat and clean.
We had a great Easter weekend staying at the property. It is a small drive to all you need to see in the Asheville area, but is in a lovely wooded area. The place was very clean and the owner was helpful. We would recommend staying here. Thank you. S. Steyn
We spent NYE at the retreat and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is very nice, very clean and it has everything we needed. Jason was super nice, he gave us great information to nearby trails and we had a great hike! His daughter was really sweet to help us with dog-sitting while we were out in town. We also encountered bad winter weather unexpectedly on NYE when we tried to get back and we got stuck on the icy road in downtown Asheville, Jason was so kind to guide us back to his house. We were absolutely thankful of him! and we really had a great time staying at his house.
We brought our family of 5 plus our dog to explore Asheville and surrounding towns during Christmas break. We loved every minute of it! The condo was cozy, roomy, and decorated for Christmas! The family was super helpful in suggestions for tubing, skiing, hiking, and restaurants. We can’t say enough about their sweet daughter who helped with our dog Moose’s while we were away during the day. The kids loved the on site trails, fire pit, and chickens. We loved having a kitchen and washer and dryer. We loved it so much and can’t wait to get back!!
The rental was clean and homey, including everything we needed for a comfortable short stay. The owners were very nice and the highlight was how much our dog loved running around the beautiful property with the owners' dogs. It would have been challenging for our family to stay much longer due to the truncated kitchen. We would have needed a stove if we weren't eating out so much. This worked out perfectly for a nice place to stay for our long weekend getaway!
We had a wonderful stay at Stone Creek Retreat. It was a beautiful location near lots of trails and easy access into downtown Asheville and Black Mountain where we were for a cycling event. Jason's home is warm, cozy and immaculate! We were so comfortable and glad we got to bring our dog Winthorp with us. Jason provided lots of great tips for us for near by trails to explore and was extremely helpful in providing anything we needed. His lovely daughter Katie provided pet sitting services and took care of our dog on Saturday when we were at our bike ride. This is a great service to have when traveling with your dog and Katie did a great job. I'd recommend her if traveling with your dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon for another adventure. Jason's retreat is the place to be especially in October; the leaves were amazing!
Everything we needed in a centralized location. Plus it’s pet friendly! Thanks Jason!
