Stayed Aug 6, 2025The cleanliness of the home was subpar. Be sure you speak with the company prior to check in about your expectations.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025Loved the location, pool, and layout of the home. Hot tub was a family favorite. Kitchen table actually fit the whole family! Loved having two ovens and two fridges. We stayed with 2 babies, so it would be nice if they offered high chair(s) and/or pack n play(s). We would have definitely paid extra to not have to bring all the baby supplies. I also would have paid extra to have some rentals we could borrow such as beach chairs. Would stay again if they addressed some issues. They were missing some key kitchen items, such as pot holders, oven mitts, and a pizza cutter. Dishwasher wasn't working at all. We rinsed everything and ran it twice for everything to still be dirty looking. For a large group, this really changed the enjoyment of the trip because it felt like we were always washing dishes. The sliding doors did not work well. As in they didn't seem to slide and you really had to use your whole body to open and close several of the doors. They need some maintenance or to be replaced. Kids bedroom door is super loud squeaky which stinks for when you get the kids to sleep. We had just enough towels for everyone to have exactly one towel. Would enjoy having a couple of extra towels and would like to have pool towels as well. I have never stayed somewhere with a pool that didn't provide a towel to use at the pool.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Right in the middle of Avon with a very short walk to the beach. Food Lion is right around the corner and its just a short walk from Avon Pier. Great house.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We would definitely rent this house again. It has quick access to the beach. The grocery store is close. The house was clean and comfortable. The provided stock pot and frying pans were too small for a house that size. We ended up buying a new stockpot for our boil. I ended up using the oven for a few things that I may have cooked on the stovetop. The grill grates are rusty and need replaced. The pool and hot tub were clean and very nice. There is a partial view of the ocean and sound from the top floor. Our family enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just wrapped up an extended family vacation here and while the location, view, listed amenities are accurate--this is a very tired property and definitely not worthy of Elite Collection label nor the price. Here are just a few of the issues we encountered: -Wifi did not work first couple days and spotty after that. I reported to Vacasa Sun evening and then a follow up call Mon afternoon since no repsonse. Century Link rep Tue afternoon and told me it was internal issue that Silicon would need to inspect/replace the internal components and possibly need new router. No one from Vacasa ever followed up with me -Sliding glass doors are all either broken or almost impossible to slide and rusty (1 of the locks was on the floor when we arrived) -Pool ladders are unstable due to crumbling concrete -Wooden pool chairs are dangerous due to many nails sticking out on the sides of the seating boards -All house deck boards need work and are buckling/popping up causing tripping hazards -Outside shower head broken and almost knocked my brother out when he turned it on -No hot water in our master bath so my husband had to use the bathtub faucet while shaving -Mattresses in the bunk room were so uncomfortable that the kids (ranging in age from 11-14yrs) all opted to sleep on couches instead -Berber carpet thoughout the house is very dirty and worn out -The new glass stovetop looks to be several years old and in need of repair--not the best performance either -Dead, smashed beetles/roaches? found in carpet of 3 areas upon arrival (luckily did not find any alive) -Last night at the property, the washer overflowed while doing a small load of laundry. Caught it several minutes in but water was already dropping on the pool table below. Urgently called Vacasa at 8:45 pm Sat night--water still pouring through the ceiling (washing machine was turned off immediately) but no one arrived until next morning at 10am while we were locking up the house. This property has great potential-just needs a lot of work before it should be called Elite and fetch the current listed prices.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969When we arrived, there was a broken kite, a collapsed canopy tent, and a half deflated pool float laying at the front of the house. Looked trashy. There was also debris strewn around the outside of the property- a bucket, a broken beach umbrella for example. The outside hose was on and in the hot tub causing it to be overflowing. On the back deck, there was a dirty trash can with no bag, with leftover trash, and the linen tubs filled with the last tenants dirty linens were sitting open on the deck by the door. Upon entry, we found broken screen doors, and several sliding doors were missing handles. Worst of all, there is black mold coming out of two HVAC vents on the bottom floor. Photos were provided to Vacasa, and after discussing the issue over the phone, I was assured that someone would come to look at the vents. The handrails, banisters, windowsills, refrigerator shelves, and countertops were all found to have some debris or unwashed dirt on them. Vacas offered to send someone to re-clean but we had already cleaned them ourselves and put our unopened food into the pantry and fridge. The next morning we found thousands of ants marching around the pantry - they found their way into an unopened box of donuts and we’re having a feast. I spoke to Vacasa about all of this and was assured that maintenance would be notified and would come out to handle it. Nope, no one came. We bought some boric acid powder and spread it around, bagged up all of our pantry items, and spent the week killing ants and shuffling pantry products around the countertops all week. This house needs attention! There are broken deck railings, and deck boards, a cracked toilet seat, and a living room chair missing a leg, Complete disappointment!! I have photos! You know I called and you know you said someone would come but no one came!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The location, pool and hot tub were wonderful. Unfortunately, there were many issues that went unresolved with housekeeping, ants and other reported issues, too many to list here. Customer service left a lot to be desired. Still waiting on a call from management days later with no one in customer service able to tell me when I will be contacted. Disappointed for the amount of money we spent. We left early due to all the issues.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We’ve been coming down to the Outer Banks since the 1970’s and this may be the worst place that we’ve stayed. The rugs are the filthiest that I have seen in 52 years. The sliding glass patio door on the ground floor is off it’s track and takes brute force and a grown man to move. The sliding glass patio door on the 3rd floor off the kitchen offers great views….except the entire door handle is missing! You’ll need some butter knives and wooden spatulas to pry the door open since the handle is missing. The pool table has 6 sticks - 5 are unusable. No chalk and a busted rack. Master bedroom and laundry area have blown lights. The lamp on the third floor reading area is missing. Ants are all over the house - shame on us for bringing food into the house. When we booked the house check-in was 4:00 pm and checkout was 10:00 am. The day before we got there, check-in was changed to 6:00 pm (it turned out to be 6:10 since the cleaning crew was running behind - this was communicated via text so that was nice) and check out was 8:00 am so you are paying for almost 1/2 day that you don’t get to use the house. The pool was awesome and the hot tub was good.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Pros: good location with close access to the bridge to cross the lake to get to Oceanside. The beds were comfy and the house was spacious. Overall an excellent house at its base Cons: we had some ant problems and a few other bugs, there are only two exits that can lead directly to the ground and one of them was broken, the house does not seem to get a super deep clean regularly, the cost to book it next year would cost $2k more than this year
