Bright 2BR Condo – Cedars East #607 by RVA

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th year in this unit, and we are returning to another unit on the property next year because the owner while accepting our comments on the carpeted spotted with animal stains and the general condition to the couches and staying we would be pleasantly surprised when re-rent, chose to do nothing. We also removed a significant amount of dog hair upon on arrival.

Reviewer Comments: i have loved staying at the cedars for many winters. 607 is a great location. the interior is a bit tired! carpet def needs attention. upon arrival the shower lining in primary bath was moldy. there were replacements in closet so i changed out. the cleaning service should have addressed this. the vertiacl blinds are challenging. one or two slats always fall off! the rent for these units goes up every year so i think the properties should be updated accordingly. the RVA rep at the cedars this year, brandon, was VERY attentive to any needs during my stay. he is an asset to the property. and ben at the front desk along w site maintenance man bobby were always availbable for assistance. the cedars property is very well maintained,,,,,clubhouse and pool are an asset.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was an extremely disappointing visit for us after years of coming to Cedars East. We arrived a day late due to a cancelled flight. When we received our rental envelope, there were no keys to the unit enclosed. We returned to the office to start again. Upon arrival to the unit, for the second time, the condo had not been cleaned. The bed was unmade, fridge contained food, the bathrooms were not clean, laundry was on the floor, etc. The office manager informed us that it was because we were entering the unit before check in of 4 pm, in spite of us having informed them that we were delayed a day. We had many complaints thereafter-terrible tv and internet speed, filthy rugs, moldy shower curtain and several burnt out bulbs. We informed the office of the shower curtain which was never addressed. For what we pay, this was a huge disappointment with the condo and with the responsiveness of the front desk. We won’t be back.

Both restrooms are on same floor and would be hard for older person to go up two flights of stairs to utilize. Electrical in rental very shoddy; phones could not charge in all outlets nor hair dryer work. Master bathroom light over one vanity shuts off after a few minutes. Close to restaurants and easy to get in and out of. Good location.

The other residents are friendly and welcoming. It will be a great bonus if the cafe on premises opens as planned.

Reviewer Comments: Through the round robin tennis and the book review, we had an opportunity to meet many interesting people with varying back grounds and interests. Better next year with the Tiki Bar up and running. The tennis pro is great.

We rented this property for March of this year and enjoyed ourselves very much. It was bright, airy, spacious and very comfortable. We had no problems at all, the wifi worked well and they supplied everything we needed. We are looking forward to going back again next year!
