Brice Shore To Please - charming Jekyll duplex close to beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The duplex was clean, had great space, and a good location! We loved the screen porch and ease of getting back and forth to the beach. Beds were hard but sheets were soft! My biggest concern was the lack of storage, primarily in the bedrooms. The twin bedroom had zero storage as the closet was locked and there was no dresser drawer or any shelving. The Master had a small closet but no other storage. Living out of suitcases is not ideal, especially when the space exits to have storage. The only mirror was a small one in the bathroom. Again, wall space existed but no full length mirror or any kind of mirror, makes it hard for multiple people to try and get ready at the same time. A tv in the Master Bedroom would also be nice. While these seem like minor inconveniences, they are things that can easily be remedied by the owner/management company to make the stay for guests even better.

Upon our arrival the house was super clean, well lit and ready to go. It was actually much larger than we anticipated. It is in a great location, super short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay, and will return.

This duplex reminds me of the simplicity of Jekyll. No frills, but clean and everything you need for a quick beach Vacay. Fantastic location as well. Would highly recommend overall. Just make sure to read the fine print because there is no dishwasher, but if you eat out a lot or bring paper plates, it’s really no big deal. My only suggestion would be to add more mirrors. There is one small mirror in the bathroom and if you have more than one person and are trying to get ready for dinner, that can be a little difficult:). Thanks for a great stay

The master bed was comfortable. We did not use the bunk bed room. We loved, loved, loved the location. A quick walk down Brice and there is a very nice beach access. We could go out anytime and get on the beach even at high tide. If didn't quite make it to the rocks. At low tide there was many tidal pools that my granddaughter loved to play in. Only thing that would make it better for us is TV in master bedroom and dressers in both bedrooms. This is not a deal breaker though. We would absolutely would stay here again.

It was very nice. I would recommend another floor length mirror in the house. Maybe open the doors for a fresh air smell.

Location was perfect. My favorite room was the porch. Issues were mainly in the kitchen: refrigerator was breaking down and that was hard, but thankful for the loaner, poorly equipped with few glasses, very little cooking supplies, no dish drainer. We went to Dollar General to buy items.

The key we were given also did not work. We simply left the back door unlocked the entire time we were there. The maintenance man was aware of this. This did not really cause any problems with our vacation. We enjoyed our stay but I have rented a bigger house for next year due to the popularity of staying at Jekyll. Parker Kaufman found a really nice house for next year.

Also there was no place to put groceries away, not enough cabinets. Also there was an issue with the locks on both doors. The house had an ideal location but next year we’ll go for something bigger as we will be staying for two months again.

We had a great time staying at the vacation rental and it fit our needs well. It was very clean, had everything we needed and was well decorated and furnished. Great location, within a short walking distance to the beach. The only downside was that there was no WiFi when we arrived which meant we also weren't able to watch any TV. We were there for one week and unfortunately the WiFi didn't get fixed the whole time we were there and we did not receive any reimbursement by the host.
