Breathtaking views of sand the surf

While this is an older home, it has clearly been updated, has a lot of character, beautiful views and is close to beach access. The bad stuff: very little water pressure in showers, bathroom sinks drain very slowly, window and shower tracks are rusted/grimy, tops of drawers and baseboards all coated in dust. --Not a picky housekeeper, but when paying a large cleaning fee, I pay attention.

Fireplace was delightful. Beds were comfortable. Ocean view was amazing!

Great location to the beach! Loved the windows and watching the sunset. Bed was comfortable. and the fireplace was a bonus. a hot tub would have been a great asset, but the view made up for that!

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The view was the best! Beach access was very close. We had an issue with the fireplace. We called and the response was immediate. We would stay again. If stairs are a concern, there are 3 sets. Stairs from the parking to the back of the house, stairs to the washer and dryer and stairs to the upstairs bedroom.

Terrific house, easy beach access, and spectacular views! We arrived on a very cold day and loved how easy it was to turn on the gas fireplace. One of my favorite features too (especially with the cold days) is that the water for the showers and bath were also hot. Few things in life are better than the feeling of a hot shower after spending a cold and delightful day on the beach.Highly recommend. We were 2 adults and 1 child, and we had a blast. Thank you!

House is perched above the beach with a fabulous view, small but clean and quiet other than the roar of the surf. The beach is a short walk down the street. We loved sitting in the sun room/dining room all day just watching the Pacific roll in. Conveniently located in Lincoln City near Hwy 101, Dutch Bros, and shops. Easy parking at the house. We'll be back!

This was a lovely place to stay. Everything was as listed. The laundry wasn’t usable because they were waiting for a part for the dryer, but we made an outing of it by going to Newport and doing the wash! We would definitely come back again!

We loved Seamist! What a wonderful place to stay and the location was great. Make a glass paperweight at the Lincoln City Glass Center too--what fun!

Pro's: Location is primo, right on the beach, overlooking interesting tide-pools. Safe concrete staircase down to beach a couple houses away. Location is 13 blocks north of D River beach state park, and a block west of hwy 101 on a residential street. Good parking on-site. Cool remodeled 1929 cottage, with window views that go on forever. Comfy furniture (beds are a mixed bag), nice towels. Enough basic kitchen stuff and working dishwasher/fridge/stove/coffee-maker/toaster. Listing shows 2 bedrooms and 2 baths; there are actually 3 bedrooms (one with a sofa-bed, didn't try out), and 3 bathrooms (all 3 with toilet/sink and either shower or shower/bath combo). Gorgeous stone floor-ceiling gas fireplace with timer (timer was a bit cranky but we figured it out). Con's: All of the downstairs window shades in the bathrooms/bedrooms are in need of replacement. Some have lost their cords and cannot be raised. Replacement is on the owners' agenda this winter. Housekeeping mostly OK, but I left a note for the cleaner to work on the stove hood's underside's grease. Dusty glassware in living room (but I found the Windex and paper towel and cleaned it myself). Downstairs main bath needs caulking removed, mold treated, and recaulking. Stairs to the upper level are a steep adventure, as are the stairs to the basement washer/dryer (where you're requested to load towels/sheets on departure). One of our party picked up a splinter in her hand from the outdoor handrail. 9/10

The listing doesn’t do this little gem justice. The view is unbelievable, honestly… panoramic views in both directions, and the house is located in the middle of a 7 mile stretch of beach, so you can walk miles in both directions. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. Nice, comfortable beds with nice linens and towels. And the house is full of little touches you don’t expect but make it feel like home… a small, cute basket of tub toys in the upstairs bathroom… two footstools with cozy, cotton blankets in front of the beach view loveseat… cozy gas fireplace in the living room, great smelling soap, etc… fantastic little touches that made this stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The house was clean and beautiful! Perfect location! We spent our mornings sitting on the sofa, with floor to ceiling windows, looking out at the ocean. Incredible!

Amazing views and location! Kitchen well equipped. Instructions clear. Regular beds comfortable. Couch sofa bed not comfortable. Lots of rust on floor level (closet door runners, vents and etc. House decor was perfect! Overall house not super detail cleaned. Loved our time there!

Wonderful beach house, excellent location!

The house was clean and had gorgeous views. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were cozy. Check-in was simple and quick. Many things were broken, however. Several blinds wouldn’t come down and there was one window that had a broken latch so it couldn’t open. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Location was fantastic, right on the beach. Very quiet, comfortable beds and furniture. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful views, spacious home for the 3 of us. Close to shops and nice access point for the beach. Nice tide pools below home and miles of beach walking. Nice WiFi coverage in the home.Overall a great home with unbelievable views of the ocean.We had a fairly common Tsunami warning while staying in the home. The leasing company was kind enough to contact us and give us instructions for evacuations if needed. This was way above and beyond what we have ever experienced with a leasing company. Huge kudos to A-1 beach rentals. A few issues we experienced, loose step (second from last step) in the steps to go down to the home, very dangerous and unsafe. Liability issue should be repaired immediately. Trash and drug paraphernalia at the parking area up top above home. Wife was going to pick up trash but came across a glass pipe and didn’t proceed. No fault of the property, but it was an issue for us, we had second thoughts about safety of car up there after that. Although we decided to adhere to the customer cleaning policies, because we are clean people in general. We also felt it should be part of the cleaning fee we paid for the rental. As it stands starting laundry and a load of dishes only saves the leasing company money as the cleaners spend less time on the clock doing what we paid for. Most blinds in the home did not work.Overall it was a nice home and definitely a solid selection if you want to be around people and be close to shopping, groceries and eating out.

Nothing compares to the view from this house! The window seating area was to die for and just extremely peaceful. I went with 3 friends and it was so comfortable and had just what we needed. It was quick beach access and beautiful neighborhood. I would definitely recommend!

Our stay was OK I never realized just how densely populated the coast of Oregon is. I thought it was going to be somewhat rough and wild like Northern California where I used to live. The house was basically OK although there were some issues. It’s a lot of money to pay per night when things are not totally correct. For example, in the upstairs bedroom, there was no shade on one of the wall windows. Therefore, the sun would come blazing in at 5 AM in the morning. The shower in that upstairs room did not work properly. A lot of the water was draining out through the bathtub spigot and there diminished water pressure from the showerhead. One of the attractions with renting that house was that it was right on the beach and it was. But when it’s cold and foggy, you wanna sit in the living area and it was impossible to see out the windows because they were caked with sea mist so you couldn’t even see the ocean. It looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. Also, when all the windows are closed, the wind from the Pacific hits that house and all you hear is a vibration sound as the wind passes through the venting system. So you can’t even listen to the crash of the waves unless you keep windows open or doors open, which makes the house very cold because it is chilly by the ocean.The back door leading to the patio was stuck and had to be kicked from the bottom in order to open it. The chairs on the outside patio were very cheap hard plastic and very uncomfortable.

Wonderful view when sun was shining! Place was clean but had a musty smell when we arrived. It dissipated when we were able to open windows. Comfy beds! Thank you!

Probably my fault I didn’t see all the stairs to the unit. My husband had a hard time with his mobility issues. Kitchen sink got plugged up water wouldn’t go down. One shower seemed to squirt up and all over. It was clean and fairly nice.

This was the perfect sized home for our party of five. I loved how they had a loveseat right in front of the big bay window, I spend much of my time there! There are four, nice sized parking spaces which was very nice as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything about this stay was great. The house is roomy and the view couldn't be better or closer to the surf. Only two things I would comment on is that there is a 15 steps down to the house and it is rather steep. No problem with that but if you have walking or issues with legs you will have a hard time navigating the stairs. 2nd, and because I didn't read all of the amenities so had no soap or toiletries. A trip to Walgreens cured that. Otherwise it was a perfecct 3 day stay.

This was a last minute booking and still can’t believe it was available. Beautiful views and close to town. We came over to have a relaxing weekend and it was worth it. You are right above the beach. It’s located by the beach access ramp so you are on the beach in minutes. We were only there for a couple of days so we only used the coffee maker and kettle. We went out to eat for food. We would rent this place again when we come back to Lincoln City. Loved it!!

Amazing house. The view was brilliant. Could use a up date on pot’s and pans. But overall it was a very nice house. Would rent this house again.

Great time

This is a cozy and quaint home. I definitely wouldn’t consider it luxury as it’s an older home and a little drafty, etc. But it had everything we needed to be warm and comfy, and was cleaned thoroughly! The view was incredible and we would definitely book again!

The view could not be beat!!! We encountered stormy weather and gorgeous skies and were able to soak it all in from the couch in the dining room. And, of course, on the beach itself which was just a quick walk from the front door! Check in was a breeze and the home has everything that we would need.

The view can’t be beat! Parking was very convenient and spacious, even for my husband’s huge truck. Cute cottage with fireplace, along with an ample number of beds and bathrooms. Super close to path down to beach. Also, the tide pools were perfect for exploring.

We spent a week here in mid October with my sister and brother-in-law. Loved the location! You are literally on a bank overlooking the whole beach. The first couple of days the fog was pretty thick, so much so we couldn’t see the water. But when it cleared up…beautiful. The tide is constantly going in/out leaving tide pools RIGHT in front of you. The house was plenty big for 4 adults. Loved the fireplace! The front room was perfect for dining and just sitting in front of the water. We spent most of our nights playing cards in there, just listening to the water. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots, pans… We did buy extra paper towels and t.p. but didn’t use them. Also need your own shampoo, conditioner, shower stuff. Communication was a breeze. We had an issue with a short in an outdoor light and it was an easy resolve with the rental agency. We would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking in this area.

We enjoyed walking to grab food at the BBQ place down the street. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for our group of 6. The general condition of the place was good. Well maintained and cleaned but a bit of an older build (absolutely nothing against that). I also locked myself out of the property and received wonderful customer service. We had the PERFECT weekend and can't wait to stay again.

We walked on the beach each day, went shopping at the outlet stores and antique shopping downtown. I expected the kitchen to be supplied with better tools and equipment. Every knife was dull and there was no coffee grinder. The property management company was professional but not as friendly as when I stay at an Airbnb.

Absolutely loved the location and the views. The house itself is beautiful, just a little old. I expected normal wear and tear inside, but somethings (like the moldy looking shower doors) were gross. The baseboards and window seals, etc, were very dirty.

We enjoyed our beach bungalow with ocean views all around. More attention was needed from cleaning crew; base boards were dirty, big picture window had children’s fingerprints and there were dirty dishes in dishwasher from previous guests. The ability to raise and lower the blinds was a little challenging on some windows and the bathroom upstairs shower door needs maintenance. Overall, we enjoyed the space.
