Beds comfortable, dining setting needs attention otherwise all OK
Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the house at all. Everything looked dirty, there were cats hair everywhere, cockroaches fell on kids while sleeping, therefore we decided to leave one day earlier.
I would stay there again
We loved this cute little cottage which was in just the right location. Breakfast was provided and the house was nice and cosy. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.
A lovely little homey cottage! Bright and clean with everything you need for a night away.. Oh and jam donuts supplied for breakfast!!
Amazing little cottage and walking distance to everything in town. Had a very homely feel and very comfortable place. Pub does a great feed too!
great communication
Ellen our contact in Boyonup was very helpful, we enjoyed the Sunday activities that were on in the morning. We would stay again but for longer.
Very clean and tidy cottage close to the local pub.
It was a pleasant place to stay with family.
Loved Boyanup and this property, despite some equipment being rather average. It was cold so not good to have to reset the air-conditioner remote every time we used it.
This house was obviously bought as an investment rental and very little done to it. Carpets pulled up and the floor left as is. VERY smelly bedding, like an old man's room. I booked two nights, after the first, I washed the pillow protectors as I'm guessing they are rarely washed. Also my sheets and pillow cases. Mouse droppings on the kitchen bench, under the toaster! ewww. The tv and sofas are on the back sleepout No Internet, no netflix just a small tv. Costs less than $50 to buy a netflix box. Listing says 2 dogs allowed, and yet there is no fence or gate and I had to leave the youngest on a lead to go into the garden to toilet. The lawn out the back has not been mowed in a month, my dogs allergy to grass is usually confined to her feet, not her whole body. The floor boards in the tv room at the back door are rotten and broken and someone is going to get hurt or worse. There is a dirty rug covering them. The toilet is way too low to use comfortably, very difficult to arise from. Looking for a power point, there is so much dirt, hair, dust and debris under the bed/s I cant even estimate how long since it was mopped. Disgusting. The only thing giving this property any stars at all is the comfort of the bed, which was so good I slept 11 hours. Probably because the first morning it was bin day, and only a road width from the school car park, I only got 6 hours. She was understanding about my late getting up(alarm- phone flat). However she just stood there outside while I struggled in agony to pack up the car and handle my dogs. I have one arm in a sling from a dislocated shoulder and fracture and a walking stick in my other hand, I know its not her job to help with my bags to the car, but I would have been out of there much quicker, and less stressed. It's just common decency to help a soul in need and there was no time to take my pain meds. It would have been a kindness to appreciate, just 5 minutes of her time. No disinfectant, bleach, clean cloths or tea towels, so cleaning couldn't be done effectively. In my honest opinion; not a nice restful stay at all.
The house was well located and easy to get to. The community centre with its gardens across the property was very handy. The fresh bread, milk and breakfast cereal was a bonus. As stated, the property is old but functional. The bathroom, shower and toilets were clean and bed linen fresh. Not sure if the house had been vaccumed before we arrived as it was only vacated that morning. Floors were dusty, crumbs around the kettle and the cooktop was not cleaned. We mentioned the cooktop to Ellen as we did not want her to think we had left it like that. She came as soon as possible and cleaned it for us. Did not mention anything else as we had swept the floors and wiped up by then. Would we stay again, most definitely yes as the property cannot be faulted overall and we could stay with our dog. We are always appreciative of places that allow dogs indoors as it then allows us to travel with ours without any worries.
The property is ideally situated close to all amenities , and the host was excellent, will definitely stay here again
