My guests stayed there. I unfortunately took seriously sick and was sadly unable to join them. They all enjoyed their visit. All was very clean and they were pleased with their visit.

Needs minor tune up,curtain patio door,threshold down bath(it's a tripper)other than that ,it was quite homey

Love the old house, but twin beds very uncomfortable, in need of foam layer, and 5th bed is kind of lesser army cot. I had to stay across the street with friends. Desperately need fans, and a 5th dining chair, as the only 5th one's finish came off on granddaughter's thighs.She was wearing shorts. Lg decorative stove takes too much space. Better if moved out of the dining space. Kindly add shower curtain to upstairs bath. No wifi, as promised.Great location, friendly neighbors and maintenance man.

We enjoyed our stay, it was a little further from the main Acadia park but was perfect location for The Schoodic Park. The house served our needs well. Thank you.

The house was older as described which was fine and the location was lovely. James was an excellent host and the communication was very good. Unfortunately, there was an extremely foul, musty odor throughout the house. Upon arrival I was unsure whether we could stay in the house due to the horrible smell. We had four nights and even though we opened every single window the air quality was barely tolerable. I requested compensation and was told we could stay in the house for free at another time once the problem was rectified. I live on the west coast and was in Corea for a wedding. I do not expect to return to the area. James told me he would inquire about a partial refund but he never got back to me which was very disappointing. I would not recommend this house.

There’s a problem with a strong mildew smell, unaffected by the provided air purifier. I didn’t complain about this while there, but when I tried to talk to the manager at the end of our stay, he was out of town, with no way to leave a message. Thus 4 stars not 5. I don’t entirely blame the manager, as I didn’t complain until leaving, but I do think a way of communicating needs to be provided at all times. The person who answered the phone said he was unreachable, and refused to take a message.

The house is as stated, an older farmhouse. Furnishings are basic to support a stay but plan on buying/bringing things like garbage bags, dish soap, toilet paper, etc. The water conditioner system sweats alot so you will see puddles on the kitchen floor. It is worth the puddle though. Garbage pickup....the municipality is very specific so if you plan to produce alot of garbage they only took 2 kitchen garbage bags. Now, that small stuff aside. The house definitely served our needs. The neighborhood is great, and yes, the internet and tv is sparce, but honestly, it gave us a chance to reflect each night on the day, laugh at each other a little more, and relax. So, to wrap this up, if you want to relax, no frills, have a glass of wine on a porch and listen to the ocean roar, the boats earn a family a living, and say hello to some nice people, book it. I would do it again.

We Weere totally charmed by this lovely updated farmhouse with all amenities and a great location. Plenty of room for four of us and a view of the lobster boats in Corea Harbor and a wonderful little community. Thank you!
