Overall the house was great! There was plenty of very comfortable space to spread out in. The downstairs beds were very comfortable but the people who stayed upstairs reported that the bed was so soft they sunk into it and couldnt move! There were very few mugs and then a motley collection of 3 or 4 that were chipped Christmas decorated mugs.
We travelled in a group of two families and the house was perfect for multigenerational living. The rooms were all a great size. Downstairs there are lots of different spaces for relaxing. The garden is great for eating outdoors. Location wise we felt like we were in a great spot to explore in all directions and very close to the rail cycle route to hire bikes. All in all a great house, would go back!
We really loved the overall house and especially the master suite. The only improvement they could make is to convert a shelving closet to a “hanging rod” for your dresses and dress shirts- we had to hang ours on the window rod but it was fine. The outdoor space is really nice and we took advantage of it and had s’mores around the fire pit. It is a short drive to the beach but you need a local beach pass which we didn’t know how to get and got a ticket- you could have someone drop off the big things and walk 15 min as well. Every food place around was sooo good- hole in one was great for quick breakfast and Arnold’s for lobster rolls and ice cream! We especially loved the Thumperton Beach which being in a cove is perfect for kids! Kitchen was well equipped but I wish the description told you it’s a “drip machine” and not keurig so you are prepared to bring coffee grounds. Best of all you feel welcome in this home- w beach towels provided and the care they take to ready the house really makes a difference!
We snagged this place to put up 6 friends who were visiting from out of town to be in our wedding. We were right at home and had a great time hanging out in the backyard, cooking in the kitchen, and watching movies as a group in the evening. Only sad because I accidentally left my leftover wedding cake! LOL. Thanks for a great stay.
