Stayed Jun 12, 2026When we arrived the house was very warm. The air conditioning was not working. The compressor outside did not work, so no cold air was coming in the house. The three bedrooms did have fans, which helped. Speaking of bedrooms, the candy land room is accessed through one of the other bedrooms. There is one full bath upstairs and a half bath off the kitchen. Another big issue was there was no coffee pot or Kuerig machine. I found out later it had broken, and has not been replaced yet. It would have been helpful if the host would have communicated this so we could have brought our own. Also, I believe there was probably a store within a half hour of the house where they could have bought one. We could have used more towels in the kitchen since you have to wash dishes and we could have used an extra towel to dry dishes or lay them out to dry. Also not sure who is incharge of the automated messages, but I did not appreciate getting texted at 4:00 am on Friday morning about the house.

Stayed May 25, 2026We stayed at the Board Game House with our kids as part of a longer trip and we are so glad we did! We all absolutely loved this property! The house is clean and cute and the theming is so fun. The kids loved the Candyland room and the triple bunk beds with the slide. We loved the super comfy bedding, the cleanliness, the convenient location (close to a lot of the things we wanted to visit without being in a busy downtown area), and the communication with the hosts was top-notch! The hosts sent check-in info ahead of time, including how to access the property, what was expected of us (hardly anything, unlike some places we've been), wifi info, and local attractions. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and extra rolls of toilet paper. There was even mini toiletries in the bathroom and a welcome basket on the dining table. And I can not forget to mention the room full of board games! Literally a room...full of board games! We played so many games, the kids had so much fun! We will definitely tell everyone we know about this place, we absolutely recommend it. If we are ever in Cleveland again we will book this place immediately.

Stayed Jul 28, 2025House was amazing! A lot went into painting and decorating this house. The clue room wall was just awesome! The kids loved the Candyland room. It was great fun and the board games? ENDLESS! They had games for everyone. Your littles, your tweens, and even some adult games (; I'd give 10 stars if I could. Fantastic home. The neighborhood might seem a little different to some people but everyone was friendly and we had zero issues! Give this place a chance It's worth it!!

Stayed Apr 14, 2025We had a nice stay at the house of games in Cleveland. The house is a bit on the older side but it’s decorated nicely and has a lot of charm to it! We really enjoyed the central locational everything we were there to do in Cleveland. Although some of the neighborhood looks a little rougher we felt safe. They had a lot of games to choose from and ample space to play! I would recommend this place for a unique getaway if you are going to be in the area.

Stayed Nov 2, 2024First, the hosts Kyle & Janie are very responsive throughout the process. They enquired on how everything was going and checked to make sure I found the place and made it inside. Next, the neighborhood is a mix of newer gentrified homes and older homes of a larger size with pleasing historic archetecture. Wide tree lined streets with a.lot of people walking to nearby destinations. Very walkable. The inside is very clean and decorated impressively with wall murals. The bathrooms are clean and updated. There are probably several thousand games to choose from. We played with some of the adult trivia games for several hours while our little girl plated with Dora the explorer and some other games / toys. The beds are good quality and comfortable. The kids room has a 3 level bunk bed with a ladder and slide. She loved the slide. I could go on and on about how nice it is inside. The driveway is large enough for at least 3 cars. There are literally tons of nerby stores and restaurants. I recommend the STEAK restaurant but make reservations if you can! This place is hard to get into without them. In summary this is a great property and I’d return again given the chance.
