Stayed Apr 30, 2026We enjoyed our time at this property. It was clean and everything was as expected and would give it high ratings with one major exception. The dog kennel that is across the street. They let the dogs out around 7am and they don’t stop barking for hours. It went on and on and on and started way too early, especially on the weekend. The mgmt team was quick to respond to a few minor issues in the house and they were able to resolved very quickly. Someone had taken one of the ceiling fan remotes so we couldn't turn it on in the bedroom and it did get a bit warm one evening and the air is set not to go below 68Other than that, great place! :)

Stayed Apr 23, 2026This was a beautifully appointed VRBO for two couples. The Beds were very comfortable and had lots of storage room. The outdoor areas were awesome with the firepit and swings and comfortable chairs so one could sit and watch the sunset. The outside porch was perfect for morning coffee . The kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing that we wished could have been different is that this VRBO sat further than one block off of the highway and not across the street from veterinary clinic that boarded dogs. This would have provided an escape from city noise.

Stayed Mar 7, 2026Excellent guesthouse! Well-equipped and clean. (I left 4 stars for cleanliness only because the shower liners could be washed, but generally the place was pristine.) We had to inquire how to make the hot tub work, but once it heated up, it was wonderful with beautiful flowers and hummingbirds all around. We saw a few deer as well. Good location, close to town. Great experience!

Stayed Feb 6, 2026Great place to stay. Loved the option of outdoor fire and hot tub. Hot tub didn’t heat as hot or stay hot long but it was good to relax. Close to everything. TV remotes or we had no TV option for a movie and fan in one room was not working and beeping sound. Other than that a good place to stay. You need to get your own waters and ice.

Stayed Jun 26, 2025The living areas were clean. The South bedroom faucet had a leak that ran out onto the floor. Blinds near kitchen could not be closed completely meaning people inside did not have complete privacy from the outside. The hot tub had not been serviced in a while. Water was low and very cloudy. Did want to take a chance on bacteria in the water.

Stayed Mar 25, 2025Annually my wife and I and another couple, carve out three days from hectic schedules and escape to a location for rest, relaxation, and catching up. Blumenhaus was just the ticket! CLEAN, thoughtfully appointed and nicely laid out. We used all the amenities from the hot tub to the patio, porch and kitchen. Every corner of this haus has received detailed attention and we were abundantly pleased!Frederericksburg is a lovely destination city as we strolled thru perfect weather to enjoy boutique shops and sidewalk cafes. We checked off a bucket list item by attending the Admiral Chester Nimitz Museum and the accompanying, National Museum of the Pacific War. Plan on about 4 hrs to do both museums as they do not disappoint. The war museum has some of the best battlefield dioramas that I have seen! Planes, tanks, jeeps, submarines, they have it all. At the conclusion of our stay, we all wished we had stolen another day to enjoy our time together and the ambiance of Blumenhaus!

Stayed Mar 7, 2025The house was clean and so cute. It was perfect for our girls getaway. The hot tub wouldn’t get hot but it was so cold we decided not to use it anyway. It was comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.

Stayed Dec 21, 2024'Twas the weekend before Christmas, and all through Blumenhaus,Not a speck of dirt lingered, not even a louse. Our family of five, with three teens in tow,Found the space quite abundant—room enough for all to stow. The hot tub and spa, oh what a delight,Enticed the kids from devices, both day and night. We laughed and we chatted, the screens cast aside,Bonding together in warmth and in pride. The firepit outside, under the stars so bright,Kindled deep conversations on a chilly winter night.Minutes from Fredericksburg, with its Germanic flair,Blumenhaus proved the perfect holiday lair. But alas, at dawn, some barking we’d hear,From the vet’s across the way—it wasn’t too near.A slight disruption to our dreamy retreat,Yet hardly enough to diminish the treat. So if you’re seeking a stay with both comfort and cheer,Blumenhaus is a treasure to hold near.A place for laughter, for warmth, and for fun,Where Christmas memories are joyously spun.

Stayed Dec 13, 2024The property offers everything you could need to enjoy your stay and the grounds are very nicely laid out, making the best use of every foot on the property. We didn't make use of all of the amenities, but these were nice to have. The house is newer and the finishes are nice. We were two couples, and the split floor plan was perfect. It offered both couples privacy. The outdoors is charming and as pictured. They could use more cook wear, but supplied enough cutlery and dishes. The inside offers room for 6 to dine and the outside offers extra space and an alternative dinning area on the porch. The basics are covered such as linens and bath towels, but all else you will need to bring for cooking, cleaning, and any extras. I would recommend this property and would stay there again. There is a dog kennel across the street and that can be loud if the dogs are rowdy. Also, there is a junk yard neighboring the property, but you wouldn't know if if you didn't venture out beyond the house. There is an empty field next door and we caught several deer in the field, which was very neat. The area is generally quiet, despite the occasionally rowdy dogs and the road noise, and we felt safe.
