It’s hard to find a great view on a mountain while also only being 8 minutes away from downtown. That was my favorite part of this place. Vary spacious house for large group of people.
Beautiful house but did not live up to our expectations in various features. Our friends and I are all seniors and we had some safety issues…although the steps at the entrance were not steep, there were no handrails, one of our party fell. The bathrooms had no grab bars in toilet area, or in the showers, floor in showers were slippery. Stairs leading to the downstairs rooms were very steep, handrails on the deck need to be fortified, not sturdy. We were also disappointed that the fully equipped kitchen did not live up to advertising… only four glasses were provided, lacking cookie sheets, pie plates, and casserole dishes, no small pans. We had two surprises, the second upstairs bedroom had no closet and the fifth bathroom was upstairs in the laundry room off of the kitchen, no where near a bedroom (one of the attractions was five bedrooms and five bathrooms) One of the chairs in the kitchen needed some repairs. We adjusted to all that we thought was lacking and we did have a wonderful time.
Beautiful view and gorgeous home
We had a fantastic stay at Blue Summit. The house was beautiful, spacious and exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable as well. We spent a lot of time on the deck which accommodated 10 people easily. The only negative was that several small trees obstructed our view from the deck.
Beautiful and very clean with a gorgeous view! The bathrooms and bedrooms were great. Beds and bed linens were very comfortable. Kitchen was lacking in casserole dishes, storage containers, baking sheet and a decent skillet. A new microwave is needed as well. Steps were very steep and an elevator would be awesome for hauling luggage and other items in and out of the basement area. Overall, though, we were extremely pleased and had a wonderful time.
Several broken things in house Especially in master bath Several Kitchen cabinets are broken and the kitchen is lacking a frying pain and cookie sheet to just state a few essentials
It took a little while to get in contact with the host/maintenance, but other than that, it was a gorgeous home that was super clean and had the most breathtaking views! We loved it and would totally go back!
Great property with great views and tons of space. Great location and proximity to Black Mountain and Asheville although was a little tough to get an Uber. Property had wear and tear. The cabinets were in poor shape and were peeling or broken. The main shower head in the master bathroom did not work. The gas fireplace did not work. Also the microwave is ancient and actually sparked when we tried to use it. Should be replace. Overall 4 stars that could be 5 with some attention
This home and the view are absolutely stunning. We hosted a big family gathering over thanksgiving week here. There was plenty of space for our large party to spread out or hang together. The garage is perfect for a family ping pong tournament. We would recommend this property and stay here again.
The property was very beautiful and everything worked fine. The hot tub was very nice and clean. The sheets and linens were pristine. The only issue was general cleanliness… the floors had a lot of pet hair and dust, the ceiling fans were lacking dusting, the corners had cobwebs, but, we never really noticed that at first glance. So, to improve guest experience, the cleaning should be stepped up.
We loved our family get together here. It is a bit far into Asheville, but the setting is gorgeous. The last few miles to the house are very narrow with lots of turns.
The house was a great location for our extended family of 12 vacation. We were able to visit the surrounding area including Asheville/Biltmore, trout fishing, hiking, and rafting.
