Blue Skies Cottage! Fun South Island Beach Cottage, Fire Pit, Private Backyard Close to EVERYTHING!

My husband booked this property so when we arrived, I was alarmed that the house backed up to an airport. He said that he knew it was around an airport. He should have researched the location better. With that said, we found the house adorable and very clean. It was the kind of beach house I would love to have. The king size bed was to die for! Amazingly soft and comfortable. A kitchen was spacious and had full sized appliances. We used the outdoor gas fireplace the first night we were there and had a relaxing evening sipping sangria. The location is in a neighborhood which we liked and it's not a bad walk to the downtown section. As for the noise from the small jets that use the airport, I personally am sensitive to noise, so the first morning when a jet took off early, I was jolted out of my sleep. But I felt it wasn't too bad because it was around my normal waking time. During the day we didn't mind because we were in and out all day long. It wasn't until the fifth night that two jets took off at different times late at night and woke us up. Now, some people sleep like rocks and this would be no problem. We still enjoyed ourselves and rate our vacation as wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at this Blue Skies Cottage! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect and just a short drive to the beach, the lighthouse, and great restaurants.The host was incredibly responsive and made check-in and check-out effortless. We especially loved the cozy outdoor space and all the thoughtful touches throughout the house.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Simons Island!

We took a cousins trip to Georgia and spent four nights in the Blue Skies Cottage. Communication was good. The cottage was incredible, just as pictured. The enclosed porch was awesome, and the larger tv room was perfect for our movie night on the smart tv. The kitchen was very functional, and the bedrooms and bathroom were vey good. The location and neighborhood were awesome, and all of our destinations were only minutes away. Top notch experience!

Our stay was Fabulous , I have fallen in love with this home!!! Hope to return soon! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our grandson’s birthday and our Godson’s birthday and then wedding! Hospitality was top notch as we arrived to 2 Adorable Birthday cupcakes and birthday cards signed by team from Lilmar stole my heart right from the start! Thank you

The house was fine. Very charming and shabby chic decor. The neighborhood was a disappointment. Very close to the airport which handled private jets. The noise was fairly often and very close. The street was packed with trucks. Across from the house a resident was building a swimming pool. Earth, movers and trucks going back-and-forth created a lot of noise in addition to thr air traffic . We really couldn’t use the bikes we rented with the streets being obstructed with many trucks. Description of the house should include the fact that it’s very close to a busy airport.

In town for golf - excellent accommodations!

We loved it. Great proximity to both the beach and shops. We did have an issue with the AC, but the manager was very responsive and got it fixed right away. One thing of note is that the house itself did have chairs and umbrellas in the shed that were available for use. So, depending on the size of your party, it may make more sense to use the equipment voucher for something other than that. I’d love to book again!

We absolutely LOVED the house! It was perfect for 5 of us! It was spotless upon our arrival and they provided everything you needed until you could get to the grocery store. The screened in back porch was AMAZING! The landscaping was immaculate. The location is a short walk or car ride to the beach. The property management company was a 20 out of 10! They are prompt, caring and you can tell they want your vacation to be perfect. I can’t brag on them enough so I’ll just say out of all the properties I’ve rented, they were hands down the BEST! If we come back to this area again we will definitely stay at Blue Skies. There were a few little things that were not in working order but they messaged us and called us to make sure we knew about them and to see if it was an issue. Lighting had damaged the oven but they provided something for us to use until it was fixed. They had it fixed within a couple of days! The communication was excellent! Highly recommend Blue Skies and Limar Properties!

We enjoyed the unique house with lots of usable space. Two dens / tv rooms. Nice back porch and back yard.

We enjoyed our stay very much... the cottage was cozy and location was great for bike riding around the neighborhood and downtown. The property manager was kind and gave great nfo on places to eat! :) Would definitely recommend!

Blue Skies Cottage was a beautiful, very will appointed home. We enjoyed biking the island and relaxing on the beautiful back porch. Very large and private backyard. This house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.

This house was great for my family (4 adults, 2 couples). Neighborhood is very quiet except for the rare plane from the airport behind the property. The large screened in porch, deep backyard, and kitchen made gathering easy. Kitchen had everything needed to make multiple meals. Two different living rooms (front and back) made it so we would have our own spaces, too. One thing that was not clear on the photos is that the main bedroom with connected bathroom is off the rear living room. The second (queen bed) and third bedrooms (bunk beds) are off the kitchen in their own little hallway to the bathroom. Very relaxing and comfortable home!

I have a couple of criteria when looking for a vacation place: a bathtub and a screened porch. This property has TWO tubs, including a jetted one in the master, which is one of the best I've ever enjoyed. The regular tub in the hall bath was comfortable and roomy, perfect for a nice soak. The screened porch was probably my favorite of anywhere we've stayed, with furniture for dining and reading/relaxing/napping. Location was convenient for all we wanted to do, kitchen was well equipped, master bed and pillows were comfy...and this was our first place with a firepit, which spoiled us! This house has everything we needed and wanted, and we look forward to a return visit.

This was the perfect little cottage for our girls getaway. We had an amazing time, and everything was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for our group of four!

Perfect location to explore the island and gather together. Blue Skies cottage was cute, clean, and convenient. We had a lovely time.

Short weekend away, the location was walkable to lighthouse (1 mile) and tons of shopping and food options. Location could sleep 7, we had four so plenty of room for our small group.

We absolutely loved this rental. It was the perfect size. Loved the screened in porch. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a very short drive to the beach and a short bike ride to town. Would definitely stay again.

The house was a cute cottage and in a great neighborhood. We actually loved the house itself but the AC doesn’t work that well and the kitchen is not insulated, so it made cooking in the kitchen impossible because it got so hot. Cooked one night and ate out the rest of the time. I will say that we called the property managers and they quickly brought in 2 portable AC units that quickly cooled the house, except it still didn’t cool the kitchen when cooking. The only reason I would give it a 3 star rating is because of the AC. Other than that it was great.
