Welcome to Blue Pearl Cottage, a lovely, sunny beach house, just minutes from fabulous beaches, wildlife and the quaint downtown of Chincoteague. This airy cottage has a large wrap-around deck, a screened porch , with all of the amenities of home. Naturalists will love the wildlife – spot hawks and hummingbirds from the deck. It has three bedrooms and two baths, tasteful furnishings, hardwood floors throughout. Wander to the end of the road to reach Assateague Channel, with views over the marsh to the lighthouse. A short drive or bike ride away is Assateague Island, designated as a national seashore and completely undeveloped. The island offers unparalleled opportunities to swim, sunbathe, hike, bike, fish, go crabbing, and surf. If you keep your eye on the sea, you might see dolphins breaching the water as they feed or magnificent brown pelicans skimming across the waves. A small bridge connects the island to Chincoteague. Back at Blue Pearl; relax on the porch or in the large garden playing croquet and ball games. If you're looking for a peaceful beach cottage for a romantic getaway or family vacation, you'll enjoy Blue Pearl. The charming town has a wide variety of locally-owned restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors, activities for children, and even a newly emerging art scene. If you like boardwalks, loud crowds, traffic jams or high rises, then Chincoteague is not for you. Please note the house does have a ramp but you also have to go up several steps to get into the house.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Pearl. The house was exactly as advertised. Kitchen was well equipped, and the location was close to everything. Property management office was very responsive.

I suppose the supply your own toilet paper thing threw me for a loop. Toilet paper?? I understand no paper towel if dish cloths are provided...but toilet paper?? In 65 yrs, I never stayed at a place I had to supply my own TP. She informed me it was in the contract but I certainly did not see it. Perhaps in tiny print somewhere...We paid to rent towels and sheets, neither of which were at the home when we arrived. When called and questioned, we were told to come and get them ourselves. When we went back to management, the receptionist was on the phone with another customer. We only wanted our towels and sheets we had rented (and a roll of TP). Instead of asking to place the person on the phone on hold for 60 seconds while she handed our sheets and towels to us, she rudely made us stand there for 15 minutes while she went into detail about several things with the person on the phone. She appeared quite rude that we had asked for toilet paper, towels and sheets. Someone forgot to leave them at the home. The property itself was nice and clean. The property next door was extremely swampy which created a total infestation of small mosquitos(?) which quickly invaded a car or house. By the 2nd morning of a 3 night stay, the coffee maker stopped working and only produced a small amount of sludge.Thank goodness for the screened in porch or it would have been impossible to be outside even 5 minutes with the bugs. The location of the house was nice except for the swamp next door.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay in Chincoteague was great. Home was comfortable. Had everything we needed. Location was perfect. Easy to get around. Quiet location.Only thing needed was some type of window blind for the large front and side windows. The windows are large and with the lights on at night passerby’s can view inside. The Village Restaurant was excellent for seafood. The Island Creamery had amazing ice cream..We did drive the hour to the Maryland entrance of the Assateague National Seashore to view the Pony’s. Saw many more there, up close. They are allowed to roam freely there. Also the NASA museum was worth a few hours and it was free.Would recommend area for a nice getaway. Was not very busy in late May. Not buggy yet.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good communication from the realtor on arrival and departure instructions. The home was well equipped with your basic needs in the kitchen. The view of the wildlife in the yard was exceptional to watch. The family of deer was an added plus! Comfortable bedding and spacious. The only complaint is the AC unit was acceptable for late August, but if temperatures rises above 90 degrees the house would not be cool. The temperature control could not be lowered past the required set point. Overall, I would recommend this home to others and would stay again in early June or late August.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In general we really enjoyed our stay. We got some problem with the fridge and the freezer during our stay, wich was took in charge by the location company, wasn’t really fun too deal with but we are statisfied how Harbor took it in charge. Also, aunts problems, an other time Harbour had been resolved the problem. We appreciate our trip over all !

The property is close to all amenities and to Assateague Island for the beach. There are very little cable channels and no smart TV, so it’s good to have tablets if that’s important to you.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice. The comforters could use a washing and the smell of the water was awful. I assume it was from not being run daily. The house had an odor but I assume that was from not being lived in.Overall everything you needed was in house. Very convenient to everything and a nice little street.

Quiet, wooded lot with feeling of privacy. Conveniently located near downtown Chincoteague, restaurants and other sites of interest, including the beach, Assateague Island, NASA Visitor Center, etc. Liked being here just before summer began. Would be good to tell visitors if had not been rented recently that the initial sulfur smell of the water upon arrival dissipates quickly.
