Blue Heron: Pet friendly: Bike & Walk

We had a great time staying here. It was clean, modern and cozy. Perfect for our family of four. Close enough to the downtown area, but also nice and quiet. Pet friendly too, our dog loved joining us on our trip!

Really nice week that we stayed and the host’s recommendations for activities, dinners, etc were spot on. The house is superb and super clean even though they host pets which is a positive rating as well. Kitchen is very well stocked and beds are super comfortable and backyard is nice with a built in fire pit and chairs which we didn’t use but would have next time which there will be. Thanks!! Don

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Heron. Very clean, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped, we immediately felt comfortable cozy and secure. We loved the king bed in the master bedroom and enjoyed the comforting electric fireplaces’ features. Communication with the host was excellent.

It was very nice and well equipped. The only issue we had was the fan in the master bathroom did not work. Very nice attention to detail!

We enjoyed our time and the place worked well for the time we were in Boyne city. Was not crazy about the foam topper on the master bed. My only other complaints were regarding their fees. Namely the fee for the dog which was not indicated in the vrbo listing in addition to the 1000 hold they put on your credit card for damages or a non refundable 25 insurance . Also, i thought that charging 25/hr if the place happened to be ready more than an hour before seemed like they were nickle and diming you. That said, i would rent again should we be in the area.

Beautiful property, close walk to everything in town, comfortable beds, wonderful hosts, and very friendly/respectful of my service dog!! We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our time at Blue Heron. The backyard was fully fenced and it gave us peace of mind while we had our pup there. We would gladly come back and hope to soon!

I took my 3 adult daughters for the holiday weekend. The cabin/house was in a great location/easy access to Boyne City and all the little shops and restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Owner was very responsive to all of my questions.

Everything about this property was just as described. Excellent host and beatiful property.

Our vacation stay was good. The house was generally as advertised. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware and all cooking utensils, as were the laundry facilities. We appreciated the small touches such as treats for our dog. The house, linens and towels were clean. Location was good as well. There were a few items that could have been better, however. The backyard connects via a chain link fence to the next-door neighbors, so there is minimal privacy outback. On our second morning, we were awakened from a sound sleep at 7:30 am (Saturday) by a knocking at the front door. A maintenance man was scheduled to winterize the irrigation system and had to access the crawl space. The noise this generated for the next 30-45 min caused our dog to bark the entire time. There was no chance of any of us returning to sleep afterwards. When reporting this interruption to the host and relaying our dismay, the response was I'm not sure we knew that was going to happen either...I will speak to them to make sure we know ahead of time. Just a disappointing way to start one of our only two days of rest. Lastly, although the house was clean, there were quite a few spiders, ants and stray bugs throughout.

It was a very nice property. Perfect for our family of 4.

Was a great location, close to town. The home was clean, modern and well maintained. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if the opportunity arose.
