Sherrills Ford, North Carolina
Unbelievably cozy Lakehouse tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of your typical waterfront rentals. Amazing big water views in a quiet setting to thoroughly enjoy your time on the lake. Nestled far enough back off the beaten path to enjoy all the serenity you're searching for yet only a few minutes drive to local amenities. This home is more of your classic country cottage with character than all the newly built homes that have have replaced our shorelines.
Perhaps the kost relaxing vacation ever! The property is located on the lake, surrounded by tall hardwoods. The dock includes stairs down into the water, a great lounging conversational area and boat dock with swim ladder. The water was clean and the area around shore was perfect for wading. The ho.e is located minutes from Publix grocery store, boat rentals and restaurants; however, you can feel secluded in this private retreat when you need some downtime. I loved it so much, i didnt want to leave. 5 Stars to the property and 5 Stars+ to our host who made the entire process, simple and accomodating.
My group enjoyed our time here. The screened in porch was great as was the dock. We were able to swim and keep our boat there. Our 21 foot boat would not fit in the slip safely so we docked it on the side. An 18 foot or less would have fit. The house is broken into 2 parts but we knew that going in. If your desire is to be outside and enjoy the lake, this is a great saty.
This property is in a good location. It was clean and had plenty of room. Excellent boat dock as well.
This was our 2nd time renting and we really did enjoy our stay. We will be renting again!
The house was easy to find, plenty of parking, bountiful outdoor space with a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the overall house was very clean. Loved the docks and the gazebo. Kirk was very responsive to any questions. We would consider staying there again.
Wonderful weekend! Kirk was great; addressed all of our questions and needs! The home was prefect for our party of 8; the kitchen was well stocked. The screened porch, dock, and views were fantastic!
I would do it again.
The property is in a great location with easy access to groceries, pizza, Duncan Donuts and a restaurant. Quieter area than Mooresville. The listing could be more clear in the bedroom configuration. The main house has a nice master br plus a very small br off the kitchen that we used for luggage. The remaining sleeping areas are above the detached garage. Would work great for teens but we had small children and were uncomfortable leaving them alone at night. The covered dock was a big selling feature for us. The house and decor is dated which makes the price about right.
This is the second time of family has stayed at this property. It has been perfect for us. We love the location on Lake Norman, the house is older with a lot of character and is pet friendly, so we just have a wonderful family time! The host, Kirk, has been wonderful to work with and made everything so easy. We plan to go again in the future!
We were very happy with the home and the location. The home is a wonderful lake property that worked very well for our family over the holiday. I especially liked that there are 2 separate lodging accommodations so that people could have some personal space when necessary. I only wish that the check-in instructions were a little more clear.
