Nice and tidy with everything you would require. Dining options within walking distance as well as lovely river walks. Would recommend to anybody wanting a quite few days away.

This holiday rental had mostly what we needed. It was clean and more spacious than we expected. The yard was very secure for the dog and everything was in great condition. Having wifi would have been nice and more lighting options in the living area needed, otherwise our stay was perfect! Definitely a place we will go back to!

Simple cosy cottage with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.It is centrally located in the quiet village with beautiful beach, river, natural bush and shops all nearby.Inside the house and the outdoor area were very clean and tidy.

Everything about our stay at Blue Haven exceeded our expectations. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed and more. It is so close to everything, an easy walk to shops, beach and the river. Our dog had the best time ever, as did we. Can't wait till we can go back again, definitely for even longer!

Very comfortable and clean little beach house. Had everything you needed for a great stay, the fully fenced yard was fantastic for the dogs. Quick walk down to the river and a 3 minute drive to the beach. Awesome pizza shop and a pretty good pub within walking distance. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Blue Haven and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. House was very clean and had just about everything you could possibly want supplied including spare batteries for remote controls.Yard is fully fenced for your dog and house is walking distance to most things.We really enjoyed sitting on the patio for breakfast and late in the afternoon.Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable break.

A return trip to Blue Haven having first stayed in 2024. Great for both us and our dog, who prefers outside. The covered deck can be closed off to contain him overnight and the yard is fully fenced and good for play. The cottage suits us perfectly. Small kitchen but Iluka has plenty of eating places. Tatum is a great host. Lots of informative literature for guests, although not all is current.

Very pleasant stay in Blue Haven. Property was very clean and well-kept and very secure for our dog. Everything we required was available and only a short walk to nearby shops. We will definitely be planning a return visit for longer.

Simple little coastal getaway! Just a 2-minute walk to the river and a quick drive to both the dog friendly beach and the calmer swimming spot at The Bluff. The location was convenient - bakery, takeaway and the new Sedgers Reef Hotel were all a short walk. The yard is fully fenced and grassy, with a gated porch. No carpet, easy to keep clean and everything as advertised.

We booked Blue Haven a year in advance, primarily because it’s dog-friendly. Sadly, our dog passed away before our trip, but if you’re traveling with a pet, this is the perfect place—it’s incredibly accommodating and welcoming to dogs. Tatum was an exceptional host, always just a message away whenever we had a question. The kitchen is well-equipped, making cooking easy, and the house is only a short walk to local shops and the park near the lake. The beds were a bit firm for my taste, and the kids were disappointed there wasn’t Wi-Fi, but it definitely encouraged them to unplug and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, it’s a lovely holiday house—especially if you’re bringing a furry family member along.

We have stayed at Blue Haven four times now and again it was excellent. This property is exceptional and has all you need for the perfect stay at Iluka. We will be back.

Cute little beach house

The property is perfectly located for a relaxing beach holiday. The house had everything we needed as well as being super doggy friendly with a good sized secure yard. Iluka is also a lovely friendly beachside town with a great dog beach and the house has really easy access to the river beaches as well (which our dogs loved even more than the beach!).

We were there just the 2 nights, but had all that we needed as we were out most of the time.

Location was great only short walk to the shops. There are a lot of things at this place that need work. They are little things but they would make a huge difference. Aircon remote in living room wouldn’t work, battery flat I think. Mattress left more to be desired as wasn’t very comfortable. Some window furnishings were too rusted to lift up or down. The front door needs a handle on the inside. Outdoor light didn’t work. But we really liked how big the yard was for our dogs and that it was fully fenced.

It is not always easy to find good dog-friendly accommodation. Blue Haven proved an excellent home-away-from-home. The yard is well-secured front and rear whilst the small front deck (where our dog slept) has a gate. Overall, the cottage was well appointed and met our needs, despite a lack of wi-fi. Small kitchen but this was not a problem as we ate out most nights. Iluka itself proved a very quiet but friendly town.
