Blue Bungalow | 625 ft from the beach | Hot Tub, Dog Friendly | Kitty Hawk

The house was beautifully decorated, cozy, and well-appointed with everything we needed. We chose it because it was dog-friendly, and it was that and more. We were close to the beach and to lots of good spots in Kitty Hawk and Nags Head. The winter weather was mild so we were able to enjoy the screened porch and the hot tub. The showers were hot and the water pressure was around. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable. We cooked one night and had everything necessary to make a full meal.

Yes. The place is beautiful and they gave us a beautiful cutting board as a memory. And had a dog bowl waiting for us. Just a lot of things that made it special. And games there.

This is a sweet small cottage. The owners left us a beautiful cutting board. The beds were comfy. The overall cottage was clean, though the kitchen had dirty items. Management supplies only one hand towel per bathroom, which I find unsanitary. We were on OBX for a family wedding and had a lovely family filled weekend even though the weather was challenging (a nor'easter with some gale force winds was passing through).We found the grounds not particularly well cared for with the space under the cottage unkept. Our dog picked up a few briars in his paws.

Very nice personal touches from the owners, including a generous welcome gift for us and for our dog and ahandwritten note, plus they left the lights on for our arrival. The property is clean and well stocked and has plenty of charm. It's a quick and easy walk to the beach or a great local restaurant, or you can enjoy the breeze on the screened in deck. This was our second visit and we still absolutely love this house.

Great location and really cute house, underwhelming experience. It’s the end of the season and the house needs some attention. Refrigerator was hot and took so long to cool, that I had to move items to the freezer to keep from going bad. Then next day my meat and cheese were frozen so I couldn’t use it to make lunch. Ended up throwing out a lot of food because of this which was very disappointing. Maintenance did come next day to check on this but it wasn’t soon enough to make much difference. Refrigerator had been acting up and the seal is bad around the left door causing it to stay ajar. Wish this was repaired prior to my reservation or at the very least communicated to me so I would not come to check in with 300 of groceries to die in the luke warm refrigerator. Also, wish the property manager had messaged me letting me know there is a 2nd refrigerator in the laundry room which was cold. Did not realize that until late the next day…. Hot tub was sandy and cold, which was fun after stressing over refrigerator. Maintenance did reset hot tub settings but I was grossed out by all the sand from strangers so I did not venture back in. I would hope the hot tub was cleaned in between reservations but did not seem so. There is a plastic bin to rinse your feet before entering and this was full of old sandy water. There is screen falling off the the porch door which needs to be repaired because it let bugs in. Otherwise the property was clean and comfy. Beds were great, Slept well

Perfect vacation and very relaxing

We want you to know that we found the Blue Bungalow to be an absolute delight during our stay 3 May - 10 May, 2025. We have been to the Outer Banks many time over the past 30 years as our eldest son’s family resides there. You home suited us perfectly. It was close to the beach, grocery store, and our son’s house was only about 2 miles away. When we come back to that part of the world, the Blue Bungalow will be our first choice. We were very comfortable there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Bungalow! The property is well equipped, clean, and had the cutest beachy vibe. The location is fantastic being just a short walk to the beach. The property owners left a very sweet and thoughtful gift and card upon arrival. Little details like that really make a trip extra special. I highly recommend this property. My family and two doggies had a blast.

The Blue Bungalow is a charming beach cottage, a close walk to the beach. Not only is it a dog-friendly cottage, but the owners are obviously dog-lovers as they include small, personalized touches to make owners and pets feel welcomed.

The property was in a very Convenient location close to stores 2 miles away. 2 minute walk to beach access Also unit was very clean and had clear instructions for anything that you needed . I would rent this unit again when i come back in the future.. Great place for a family vacation Also

We had a lovely extended stay at the blue bungalow. It was in a perfect location for exploring during the off season... walking distance to open shops and restaurants and just a short walk to the beach. The owners could not have been more welcoming...leaving thoughtful gifts for our stay which was so kind and appreciated. Would definitely recommend blue bungalow!

This comfy four bedroom home is located 2 minutes walk from the beach. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed, we enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the outside shower was great! We had a wonderful week and really enjoyed this house. Thank you!

The house was super cute, clean and perfect for a family vacation. We loved the screened in porch and the digital personalized tablet screen on the wall to check weather and local recommendations. The beach is just a short walk away - we were sad we decided to leave early due to Hurricane Debby. But communication with owner company was simple and friendly. The only suggestion I would make is giving an inventory in the VRBO description of the beach gear already in the house. We were excited to utilize the credit offered for beach equipment delivery but were bummed to discover that just about everything we ordered, the house already had. (Which was great! But we would have picked different things).

We took our first family vacation to this house — 5 adults, a 3 year old and a 16 month old. It was wonderful! The house was clean and welcoming, we appreciated the extras like laundry and kiddie pool/sand toys, and you can’t beat the location. We walked to the beach, Duck Donuts, and Rundown Cafe multiple times throughout our week-long stay. It was about 20-30 mins to drive to other activities in Nags Head and Duck. Would highly recommend this property for families and groups of friends!

Easy walk to the beach. Neighborhood was great and home was beautiful !

OBX is our favorite beach to visit. This house was in a great location. We also loved how homey it felt. It is very well kept up. The only thing is to get better seating for the living room for lounging and watching tv. The space is small but maybe get a larger sectional so more people can lounge. It was awkward even for 2 people and a small dog. Beds were very comfortable. It’s a great house!
