Welcome to our little piece of heaven in the heart of the hill country. Blue Armadillo is a 2 bedroom secluded; rustic-chic adobe cabin located 2.5 miles from the Wimberley downtown square.

Kick back in the spacious living area in a rocker next to the fireplace or snuggle up on the couch with popcorn and your favorite movie. The open layout makes everyone feel included in the conversation whether they are preparing meals in the kitchen, eating in the dining room, or relaxing in the living area. Both bedrooms are located right off the living area. Both bedrooms have a queen sized bed. Enjoy easy access to tons of local activities including Blue Hole Regional Park, Wimberley Zip Line, Village Center, and the Texas Wine Trail.

CHECK-IN/OUT TIMES: Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. Luggage storage is unavailable while the home is being prepared for your arrival. We recommend making travel plans accordingly.

SELF CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: All reservations will be required to sign a rental agreement and provide Hills of Texas Lodging with a valid credit card to be placed on file for their stay. In lieu of charging a damage deposit or non-refundable damage waiver, a temporary hold of $150 will be placed on a credit card upon arrival for incidentals (just like they do at hotels). We are basically just verifying with your financial institution that sufficient funds are available in the event they were needed to cover property damage(s). If there are no property damages, the card will not be charged.

AGE REQUIREMENT: This is an excellent lodging choice for adults seeking a relaxing Hill Country experience. However there are a few aspects of the property that have been deemed unsafe for young children by the insurance company. ALL guests participating in the reservation are required to be at least 12 years of age or older.

MAX OCCUPANCY: The maximum capacity for this home is 4 guests (including children). No visitors or day guests are allowed. Only the guests registered in this reservation are allowed onsite. If it is discovered that guests are over occupying the property, it will result in eviction.

PET POLICY: Pets are not allowed at this property under any circumstance.

    I liked the manager's communications with me concerning the directions to the house and the check in process. There was noting that I didn't like about the Blue Armadillo.

    Marvelous host and delicious honey harvested from the property. Very clean and comfortable. It was me and a girlfriend and the layout was perfect. Enjoyed coffee in the living room and enjoyed wine on the patio. Convenient location to everything Wimberley.

    The property was beautiful and felt remote without being so. The check in process was easy and the host was very communicative. The house was comfortable and had everything you could need. Wonderful stay!

    Everything was wonderful, but the living room furniture was uncomfortable and the kitchen supplies were limited (no colander, only one dishwasher pod, etc. ).

    The Blue Armadiilo was a very relaxing, very awesome decorated two bedroom resort with lovely amenities! I spoke with the owner and she was very helpful to suggest places to visit. I would highly recommend this place to relax and to be close to Wimberly.

    We visit the Wimberley every now and then. This place was perfect since it was just outside of town and it provided us with privacy and scenery. It wasn't much of an issue for us but the one negative was hearing some highway noise nearby. Other than that we truly enjoyed our stay here.

    We had such a great time away at this property. Close to local wineries. You’re nestled in the countryside but easy access to the main roads and into town. Highly recommend! Great price and value!
