The Trails End home was the perfect place for our group of 12 to stay for our vacation to West Yellowstone. The 7 bedrooms allowed us all to spread out, but also having the common areas of the living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchen to be together was fantastic. Bill was incredibly kind and accomodating. The home's location is close to everything in West Yellowstone, and just minutes from the Yellowstone National Park entrance. Most of all, we LOVED the sledding hill at the city park that we could get to in just a few steps! Thank you Bill for having this home available to those of us that want to explore your amazing town. God Bless!

Our entire extended family of 15 stayed for a week. The house had plenty of room for us to spread out and plenty of places to get together. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and pots and pans which we used often to make sandwiches for lunch as well as food for dinner. The owner was very accommodating in delivering supplies we had ordered. We all had a great time exploring the park and coming back to the house to relax.

We flew into Bozeman’s airport and enjoyed a scenic 105 minute drive to West Yellowstone and this vacation home. The roominess and well stocked kitchen of this property pleased our group of 14. We generally entered Yellowstone (nicknamed “Yell”) by 7 AM toting packed lunches and saw black bears, wolves, elk, bison, a moose, a fox and more during our stay. We also recommend The Playmill Theatre, the 5 star bbq restaurant, the public library and Parade Ranch horse riding.

We were gathered for my sister’s celebration of life and used every available bed space. Water was always hot. The location was perfect, near the park good floor the littles (playground) and bigs with basketball/volleyball. We had an excellent time and the house was perfect for us.

A group of 10 of us ranging from 5-75 stayed here for three nights and the property as a whole was a love/hate for us. I will lay out what the good and bad was for us during our stay. The good: the location was perfect, walking distance to everything, restaurants, shops, a huge park for the kids. The house itself was very accommodating with its size, big fenced yard and stocked kitchen. The owner was very responsive when I messaged him and even came and picked up the overflowing garbage left from previous guests as soon as I alerted him to it. The bad: the house itself is outdated which we already knew from the photos and we were totally ok with that, however it was very dirty. Our kids were bare foot at the beginning and had black feet from the floors, I attached a picture of a Kleenex from just one wipe of the floor. Also walls, window sills etc are all very dirty, a good deep clean of the place is needed.Next, and this ended up being our biggest issue. The down stairs bathroom has a massive leak from the ceiling when the upstairs master shower is being used. Water pours from the ceiling and in turn the entire downstairs reeks of mold. The owner is working on the issue but it seems it has been an issue for months and the ceiling in that bathroom looks as though it’s about to cave in. I think at a minimum the guests should be alerted to this issue and instructed not to use the shower in the master. Overall property has great potential but needs fixed/cleaned.

I contacted the property manager about a few issues at the place. It’s 3 1/2 days later and he still hasn’t gotten back to me. Great location, eating areas, bedroom set up. Weakness in master bedroom shower. Creates leaking in downstairs bathroom And mold on the ceiling. The washing machine is in need of a Good cleaning. With a little TLC this would be a fabulous place!

Surface level it was clean and smelled nice. Carpet looks ancient and needs to be updated. There is an immense amount of black mold in the downstairs bathroom. It has a horrible odor and is a health hazard. There is clearly a leak in that ceiling that seems to be continually overlooked. The guest bath upstairs has a gaping hole in the ceiling and is missing an exhaust fan. The bathtub drains at a snail pace and backs up when showering. There was an inch of dust and debris and lost toys under the couch that we had to sweep up. Crumbs in all the cabinets and utensil drawers. The kitchen is lacking in usable and updated cookware. There wss ZERO organization to it and finding lids to anything was a scavenger hunt and more often than not resulted in not finding what was needed. Coffee pots were gross, all pots and pans are teflon that is incredibly scratched up. The pantry is disgusting. All cabinets were full of left food from prior vacationers. There should be space left for incoming people to put their stuff. The front door has no way of locking from the inside. The property manager, while seemingly nice, showed up TWICE unannounced during our stay which was very uncomfortable and felt intrusive. Nice location and close to town and all conveniences but we would not choose to stay here again unless these major issues were taken care of. The mold is a really huge issue and absolutely needs to be addressed. It's not a quick fix, it needs to be gutted and fixed.

We had plenty of room for our family. The entrance area was nice with a big bench to take our shoes off and hang our coats. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, spices and staples. It was nice to have two refrigerators. We had plenty of bath towels and shampoo, soap etc. we enjoyed using the back patio area. Bill was very quick to attend to items that we needed. The house does need a little TLC and the fence needs to be fixed but we still had an enjoyable stay.

The house is conveniently located with easy walking into town and to ATV trail. It is large with sleeping for many people. On the negative side, it is old and a bit rundown.

Great location with lots of space for our entire extended family. Easy walk to downtown and just minutes from west entrance gate to Yellowstone. Property is dated and could use some updating and overall maintenance. Did not affect our stay negatively but worth noting if this is important to you.

Great location, allowing you to walk to most places in town. The house handled our group of 14 people very well. Be advised there is no air conditioning. Bedrooms had fans and were comfortable at night. Living area was warm.
