Welcome to Blackbird Cottage! On a quiet dead-end street, Blackbird Cottage is a perfect cottage for a couple or a group of up to four looking to relax on Seneca Lake.
The main cottage offers 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with a Double bed, a full bath (with tub/shower), fully outfitted kitchen, lovely lake-view dining area with panoramic views, and comfortable living room for relaxing and watching the lake.
At beach level, our lakeside cabana, for relaxing or "working from home" by the lake, is surrounded by a deck and lounge chairs, just a few steps from your own lakefront and is outfitted with mini-fridge and comfy furniture giving you a wonderful place to relax at the end of a day on the lake. There is a small fire pit on the lake front as well for evening fires. Between the two buildings is a lovely landscaped patio with a patio set, shade trees and of course lake view. It doesn't get better than than this!
The cottage ceilings are fairly low due to the fact it was originally built in the 1950's. We are also on a quiet dead-end street with close neighbors along the lake who enjoy the relaxing nature of the area.
Whether visiting the area for our wonderful wineries, getaway, romantic weekend, or fishing our world-famous lake trout, you will love Blackbird Cottage on Seneca Lake!
There is a canoe for getting out onto the lake, which is located under the lower deck. Please use at your own risk and use responsibly. Great for fishing and sunsets!
Although we do allow children to stay, the cottage does not have green space/much room for young ones to run outside. The cottage is best suited for adults.

We stayed Thursday thru Monday. We did some hiking to see some local waterfalls along the Keuka Outlet trail. As non wine drinkers we visited some cool breweries around Seneca and Penn Yan. We had dinner at Beef and Brew and Parker’s Grille which were both great. We spent Saturday at The Windmill Farm and Craft market. It was great watching the sunrise over Seneca Lake sitting in the dock
Property had beautiful views and was clean and comfortable. Stairs were difficult for 2 members of group.
Everything was super easy, from checkin to check out! The house was very clean! It was a little small but it worked for us and for our short vacation! We loved it.
We did not have access to the cabana, which we were supposed to. Their was a nasty steam mom hanging out by the fridge and last the remote for the TV didn't work ( yes I tried batteries).
We had a great time. The house is great for a small getaway and has everything you need. This was my second stay on the property. The lake itself was pretty disappointing this time as it was filled with grass and there were a TON (at least five, two of which were massive) water snakes living near the dock/shore line that made themselves known. Otherwise the property is clean, well maintained, and charming.
cute place stayed twice now
This house was clean, cute, comfortable, and a great location. We spent our time there during the week. The lake was very quiet and peaceful. One recommendation would be to add two more chairs down by the dock, near the fire pit.
Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Seamless check in and check out process with everything we needed and more. Amazing dock and lake stay. Will definitely come back!
This property was perfect for a girls weekend, the lake views were beautiful, the location was great, and the cottage vibe was cute and clean. Thank you!
Would have liked a place to hang clothes in the rooms and a night stand.
This place was perfect for two couples! Perfect little cottage on the water. Great to have coffee outside in the AM or have a bonfire on the water at night. Many wineries around to go to during the day and hiking. Would stay here again!
Perfect location on Seneca lake. The little cottage provided the perfect home-base for our wine & beer tasting trip. The dock was our favorite place to have our morning coffee, evening wine and then cozy up with a fire on the pebble beach. Can’t wait to make our next trip up and would definitely stay here again
