Stayed Aug 20, 2024To be fair, there seemed to have been a glitch in the system that VRBO is now reviewing. Initial booking said 8 min away from our destination. Once we received check-in info on arrival day, the site was 40min outside of where we were looking to stay. Aside from that, the furniture, floor, carpets were covered with white dog hair. We have stayed at pet-friendly sites over the last 10 years, because we also have a small dog who travels with us. We have never experienced this level of leftover dog hair from a previous renter. The host said they would resend the cleaning crew to clean again, but we weren't interested at that point since we were so far from our travel destination and could have stayed with friends who lived the same distance away. The pictures also didn't represent the place as accurately. Although written description is accurate, the layout of the home looks much different in the pictures than in person. We didn't find that the $300+ a night we were being charged, was equal to the accommodations. Disappointing as this is, it is the first lack of true representation and expected quality in a location we have encountered over 10 years through booking with VRBO. Sorry to have to leave this review, but it was very disappointing and wouldn't want others to go through this same experience.
