Our Black Bear townhome (Unit 59) is located directly across from Purgatory Resort and is a perfect basecamp for your vacation no matter the season. The townhome features 3 bedrooms (all with TVs) and 2.5 bathrooms with a ping pong table in the garage. The gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances includes a bar with seating and opens to the main living space and dining area. Enjoy great views of Engineer Mountain and the ski slopes from either deck.

Stayed Dec 20, 2025It was very nice. The description was a little deceiving in that it said we had use of pool and hot tub but we had to pay extra to get a pass across the street. Overall very clean, carpets need to be cleaned.

Reviewer Comments: The condo was the perfect location for a week long stay while skiing and other winter activities at Purgatory ski resort. The condo has everything you would ever want and was very well maintained. When we arrived it was well stocked and very clean. We have stayed at numerous slope side condos at Purgatory and this one is our new favorite. The rental company is by far the easiest we have ever worked with and makes sure that you are totally satisfied with your stay. We will definitely be using the Durango Vacation Rental Collective again when we return to Purgatory.

The townhome is super cozy and VERY convenient to the resort. The best part is that the on-demand shuttle arrives in minutes and picks you up/drops you off at your front door.

It was extremely clean, had a well stocked kitchen, plenty of dishes and cookware and was right across the street from Purgatory with great views. The rental company communicated clearly and often. It was perfect for my family and we would come back in a heartbeat. Wonderful time was had by all!

I was very disappointed in the filthy carpeting in all of the house and the lack of cleanliness in all of the rooms.
