From the start of our trip until the end, it was perfect. I have nothing negative to say. Everyone in our party was very satisfied.

Really nice house and area

Overall, my friends and I had a great experience. Only negative comment is about the hot tub. The hot tub is old, outdated, and small. It takes a long time for the water to heat up. It only fits up to 4 adults.

Although the property is not right on the lake it's a short drive to get there. There were ample grounds to play outdoor games. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were air conditioning window units on both the first and second floor. The property was clean when we arrived. I've been renting from Taylor Made for the last several years and their staff is always professional. I was a little puzzled by the parking restriction of three vehicles since the parking area was pretty large and additional vehicles could have easily fit. Overall, this has been my favorite rental to date and we are hoping to return to Black Bear Retreat again next year!

It is a cozy cabin but it is now at a point of needing a lot of attention and updating. The hot job needs a lot of work and a good cleaning. Some appliances and TVs should be replaced.

Reviewer Comments: Booked a 1 week stay for two families with small children (ages 2-4). The booking process was easy and reviews seemed fine but we found this place disappointing. - After checking in through the specified phone number we still had to drive 5 miles out of our way to 'check-in' with the rental office. - We did not have a hot tub key in the welcome booklet as was indicated and after driving to/from the rental office to pick-up the key, we could not open the lock because it was the wrong key. We called the rental office again so they could bring out another key for us. - Once we finally accessed the hot tub (day 5 of the trip), it was not inviting. Although the water was clean, the hot tub itself has a hue of yellow all along the seating area. - One the first night in the house, we attempted to grill dinner and only 1 burner was working. We called maintenance and they arrived the next day & replaced the propane tank which got the second burner to light. - Because we have small children, we planned many meals at home & found on the second night that the oven was not heating up to temperature. We called maintenance and they came the next day to inspect and left a note saying that the oven did get to temperature. After that, the oven was still not working properly along with the electric stovetop burners. One burner (back left) only stayed on maximum hot while others never got to full temperature. - The floors of this place were just absolutely filthy. On the first night, the bottoms of our bare feet were black & if you moved the sofa or chair in the living room, there was debris underneath like it had never been vacuumed. This is not ideal when you have young children playing on the floor. - The fire pit and the yard were great features for the kids in the evening. - The front porch was perfect for the kids to play on when it rained. - The back deck needs some serious powerwashing and structural maintenance.

WATER hose on the deck running wide open ,on the deck not in the hot tub, so we turned it off the back yard was flooded. We want to stay in the first night and cook a steak and get in hot tub. Well we had to leave until the room was cleaned. We returned about 6 pm and the water and ice we brought and put in fridge was gone cleaning crew took it. So we could not even have a cocktail no ice. OK we said we would just get in hot and everything would be just fine, no hot tub was cold. So just gave up on first night and went to bed Well all of the beds were so hard that sleeping on the floor would have been better but it was so dirty we did not try it After first night my wife slept on couch and I tried another bed no luck hard all over We were to check out Wednesday but we decided to leave Tuesday because we could not sleep This was the worst cabin and vacation experience I ever had and we are 51 years old a lot of vacations Hopefully you will make this right with usm

Secluded, yet easily able to get to other places to enjoy. I definitely would recommend!
