Birdsong Cottage | Gorgeous Lake Junaluska Retreat

The house was in a nice neighborhood and convenient to shopping if you need anything during your stay. The property was clean, the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to prepare meals (pots and pans, baking dishes, some spices and even a hand mixer), and coffee was available for the Keurig. The dogs enjoyed the fenced in back yard as did we; the feeders attract a lot of birds and it was fun watching the visitors while having coffee in the morning. We enjoyed our time at Birdsong Cottage and would recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay in the area.

Our family trip here was excellent, will definitely return next time we're in the area. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, comfortable beds and living room, and plenty of space for our dog to roam in the backyard.

This is an amazing new home with everything you could possibly need. They provide all of the extras, which turns the rental into a home. The front porch is lovely in the morning with the sun hitting it and the back porch is where we relaxed most days when we were home. We ate yummy meals, took many naps, read books and did a jigsaw puzzle on the back porch. All the bird feeders in the back were a plus as we saw many birds and we even saw our first chipmunk eating the bird seed on the ground The location was ideal to all we wanted to experience - pickleball and walking around Lake Junaluska and close enough to Waynesville for shopping and dining. We also did some hiking off the Blue Ridge Parkway which was just 30 minutes away. Our beagle enjoyed lying in the sun in the backyard and the owners had everything our little dog could have needed - even a dog stick library - so cute!

Absolutely love this house! Great location, easy drive to Waynesville, Asheville, Maggie Valley and Cherokee. Loved sitting on the back porch and watching/listening to the birds. Will definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved the Birdsong Cottage. The backyard was probably our favorite thing. We loved drinking coffee and watching the birds at the feeders in the morning and our dog loved running around in the yard. We appreciated the up to date furnishings and the fact that you were dog friendly. I have been visiting Lake Junaluska for almost 60 years and my husband for 40 years, but this was the first time we stayed on this side of the lake. We hope to return to your beautiful, pet friendly home! Thank you!

Birdsong never fails to disappoint! We have stayed here many times and each time is perfect. We travel with our dogs and they love it as much as we do! The house has all of the amenities and is located close to Lake Junaluska, Waynesville and Maggie Valley. The back porch is my favorite summer spot - we spent a lot of time out back enjoying the birds and low humidity! We’ll be back in August!

Birdsong cottage was the perfect name for this gorgeous, well kept, well stocked, and beautifully situated cottage. The yard was absolutely stocked with song birds (robins, towhees, titmouse, chickadees, and more) and looked out of a little creek to the 17th fairway of the neighboring golf course. It was also about a 5-8 min walk to Lake Junaluska. The house was very well decorated and beautifully maintained with all the dishes, pots, pans, and appliances you would need. I stayed with my older parents and we were able to cook anything we needed given the well stocked kitchen. The only thing marginally below grade were the beds. While fine I thought the mattresses were a little less than ideal. But they were manageable. Grocery stores and restaurants are only 5 minutes away in any direction and it only takes about 5 minutes to get on the Smokey Mountain Expressway which gets you anywhere quickly on double lane separated highways. The Biltmore was 45 minutes away and there are plenty of other attractions near by. I would happily stay here again!

This house was not only clean and impeccably decorated, but nestled in a quiet neighborhood with a babbling brook separating the large fenced yard from a beautiful golf course. We felt pretty lucky to found it and hope to stay there again soon! Definitely worthy of 5 stars!

The house was perfect for our group. We will definitely stay again. Everything was thoughtful and simple. The outside deck and yard were perfect. The host ŵas responsive and wonderful. We loved it here!

Birdsong Cottage was absolutely perfect! It was the best vacation home to stay in. Our grandsons had a ball playing in the backyard and especially the creek!The proximity to the lake was great. My husband could just walk over and take his morning run around the lake. Would definitely recommend this property ! The management was so nice and courteous. Will be coming back for sure!
