Stayed Dec 26, 2024Loved the place. Big enough to accommodate our 15 family members. Loved that everyone had their own space with their own bathroom. I do however have recommendations to make. I had read these in the reviews and I can now confirm after staying in this VRBO for the week. I would recommend that the owner invest in pots and pans as most of them were scratched and everything would stick. A newer set would make cooking more doable. Also some of the kitchen utensils were flimsy and even rusted. The washer and dryer are old and not as efficient especially the dryer which wasn’t drying with one cycle. Also, two of the living room chairs were very uncomfortable as they had not much to cushion. Some of the barstools were also flimsy. Again, loved the place but feel like a little investment would help visitors feel more at home and attract return visitors.

Stayed Oct 19, 2024Overall, we had a fairly good experience here. The house was beautiful with a nice big kitchen and ocean views, and we loved that every room had a private bathroom. We felt comfortable there, but we didn't feel like it was up to other OBX rental standards; the rental is managed through Seaside Vacations. Check-in and check-out was nice and easy. At first glance, the house was stunning, but when you really looked it at, you could see it was not well-kept. The floors were extremely dirty, as were the walls. The showers did not drain, meaning that every time you bathed, you were stuck standing in your own dirty water. This was the case in at least three of the bathrooms. Plus, you have to make your own beds when you arrive (a requirement that none of us had ever encountered before in an OBX rental), and unfortunately my pile of clean sheets had a hair in them, so I had to re-wash them on day 1. Check-in is at 5pm and check-out is at 9am, meaning you pretty much lose an entire day that you've paid for because of how early and late they make you get in and out. It seems odd to me that with so many hours in between parties, they wouldn't have time to make the beds for guests? Perhaps this review is more of a reflection on the cleaning service than the actual rental company. The problem is that when renting a home, cleanliness tends to be the most important factor to a lot of people, and it was this house's biggest demerit. But we managed to still have a nice time.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024Overall the house is really nice, it is def been abused by renters with dirty walls, marks everywhere, and not very clean. The quality/quantity of bath towels was embarrassing, they were thin and pretty cheap quality. Same goes with the 2 dish towels, two thin hot plates. I really didn’t care for the fact i had to take sheets out of plastic wrap, make the beds, then strip the beds before leaving. Again, the quilts and such on the beds were dirty. Let’s talk about the dryer…i ran the cycle 4 times, clothes were still wet. I looked inside below where the lint screen was, it WAS JAMMED WITH LINT., i took a longer wite
