Big Oak Cabin - mountaintop home near Jasper

Our stay at Big Oak Cabin was amazing. Being able to park in front of the porch and having a bedroom, bathroom, living room and deck on that level made it so much easier on our 81 year old mother who has issues with stairs. This was perfect for our needs! Everything about the property was great. Heaters worked great when needed and fans available if needed. All furniture was comfortable and just the whole set up of the cabin was really great. We only had to contact the Host once on getting one of the heaters turned on. The response was quick and resolved our issue (operator error, not equipment). Due to weather conditions, we did not get to use the patio, deck or chairs out back like we had hoped but it was beautiful out there, nonetheless. We highly recommend Big Oak Cabin and look forward to future visits!

It was very peaceful at the cabin. Enjoyed sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful weather.

The house is very spacious and clean. It had everything you needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Satellite tv, books and games. There is a nice fire pit in the back for roasting marshmallows.

The host was welcoming and great communication. The cabin was cozy and relaxing.

Property was great. Conveniently located and well maintained with all the needed amenities. Stayed three nights and plan to return in the spring

Dennis texted early in the day to say we could check in then, it was ready for us! That was a wonderful surprise. The cabin was adorable and spotless, and the most well-equipped place we have ever rented. We are already looking at dates to go back with friends!

Cozy clean spot right by the main highway.

We planned 4 days of hiking and Buffalo River time. Unfortunately the last 2 days were a rain out. But this cabin was cozy and had plenty to do. We played card games and even caught and released at the pond.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped. Not fancy, but neither are we! Great location for everything we wanted to do. Appreciated being able to have our dog with us, as well as the communication about hikes to waterfalls and gorgeous overlooks!

Great place to stay. Plenty of room. The 2 living areas make it a great place to stay with friends of family. Would definitely stay here again.

Good stay… the only minor inconveniences were the road noise in the morning and the slow WiFi.

The house was very charming. Would be great for an extended family visit because it had a living area on each floor. Close to all the hiking we wanted to do.

At first the accommodations appeared dated and questionable, but once unpacked and relaxed, the place grew on us. Everything was comfortable, clean and convenient. The old oak tree grew on us, and it was so nice to sit on the porches and experience the fall weather. As we left, we commented on how much we enjoyed your place and it's quiet, setting. fall weather.

We loved every second!! From hiking trails, to relaxing at home, to the ‘at-home’ feeling!! Felt like we were at home but with extra relaxing!! The home was far above all expectations!! We definitely plan on coming back!!!

The Big Oak Cabin was an excellent choice to stay for Bob and I. From there we were able to enjoy riding our motorcycles on some of the best roads Arkansas has to offer. The cabin offers everything we needed to cook our own meals, do our laundry, store our bikes out of the weather and sleep. What more could you ask for?

The cabin, grounds and location to things was superior. We could live there. Privacy when we needed it. Family time with plenty of room. Great time.

This property is very cute! I loved the layout of the house because my teens had their own space upstairs and my spouse and I had the downstairs.

Roomy, convenient for our needs. Wi-fi, satellite, would stay here again.

The house was clean with plenty of linens and necessities. We loved the location and it was well kept. My 5 yr old granddaughter simply loved climbing all the stairs! We spent a lot of time at the Buffalo River, enjoying the water and having picnics as well as exploring the area and eating at the local restaurants. We look forward to coming back there again whenever possible.

Enjoyed our stay at this spacious two story cabin on AR7 near Jasper. Due to the terrain, both floors are accessible from outside: upper story from front of house, lower floor from rear. Enjoyed having dinner on the upstairs rear porch and enjoyed the sunshine. Everything was clean and well stocked and well cared for.

BEAUTIFUL house just outside of town but close enough to grab a bite at the local cafe!
