Big House w/ Lush Backyard Oasis

Large beautiful house in a quiet street. Perfect for a family of 4 l

The hosts are very nice and communicative and I’m not trying to be mean but honestly these things need addressed. As an avid traveler and someone who was specifically looking for a place for the family to prep meals together and spend time at this house I feel like I have to be honest on the state of it, Upon our arrival we notice the oven was broken and there was a sign saying don’t open held together by tape. It took 3 visits from handyman (and one surprise visit from owners) to finally fix. Primary bedroom door handle not secure and fell off constantly, no body soap in showers, pet urine stain on floor in master (we didn’t bring pets), used tissue left on windowsill in one bedroom, food wrapper left in another bed. One fan broken, Some of the furniture was worn and older while other furniture was held together by plywood and books. Supplies like dish soap and laundry detergent and paper towels were low. Shower door in primary not secured properly and would get stuck plus shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in forever, other shower curtain in other room held together with a few playing cards. We would of cancelled and stayed elsewhere but it wasn’t easy to move all of us with no notice in advance so we stayed. Not sure that this house has been used as an VRBO before but our experience with other rentals was not as bad as this one. Hopefully the owners will take this information and fix it for their next guests.
