Stayed Apr 28, 2025Bungalow B was very nice, comfortable, clean, nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Enjoyed sitting outside on the porch early morning and in the evenings. The wall around the porch provided sufficient privacy. The area surrounding the bungalow is not pretty but felt safe and surprisingly quiet. The air condition struggled to cool down room within 24 hours of arrival but after that very comfortable. The bungalow is closes to Lajitas so we started at this end and made our way across the park. The bungalow is conveniently located to Maverick Junction entrance of the park. Overall great stay, would stay here again.

Stayed Mar 31, 2024This was exactly as described. It was clean and about as close to Big Bend that you could get outside of the park. The heat/cooling worked great as well as the wifi. It is bigger than it looks from the outside. Would stay there again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great typical house. We spent very good time. The view is magnificent. It would be perfect if the property was provided with wood for the burning fire pit, portable cooktop, some pans to cook.

Stayed May 3, 2021Close to Big Bend Nat Park. Comfortable and clean. Cozy, with a functional kitchen. Served our needs well. Town was practically empty with little to no dining. Dusty, dry, empty. No night life.

Stayed Mar 8, 2026We stayed for 5 nights. The proximity to the park’s West entrance can’t be beat. There is a nearby gas station and small grocery store where we purchased our meat and produce. Terlingua Ghost town and the road to Big Bend State Park is also nearby. It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for my family of 4 (incl. 9 yo and 15 yo). B had a picnic table for family dinners outside. Like others said bring an extra towel if you have 4 people and extra trash bag, or reuse grocery sacks. We essentially packed like we were glamping. Use “Just Ahead” App to give you info about BBNP while driving through.

Stayed Mar 6, 2026Cute and cozy little casita! Very close to Big Bend entrance and Terlingua restaurants. Beware that Google Maps will try to route you all of the place; these Casitas are next to the hardware store and Gordo’s food truck.

Stayed Feb 15, 2026Excellent parking, consistent wifi, nice porch, spacious interior, secure. Close to town and parks. Bath clean and working well. Good number of trash cans. Bed and towels good quality. Kitchen has very basic prep stuff. Freezer needs defrosting and coffee maker should be thoroughly cleaned. Harsh light bulbs in kitchen. Shelving under bath sink needs a hammer. Rug in main area needs cleaning.

Stayed Dec 26, 2025We had a small issue in the very beginning but the owner was responsive and immediately took care of it! And sent us for a yummy and fun dinner in Terlingua. The beds were comfy and it was actually a lot more spacious than we thought it would be. The decor was fun and the location was pretty unbeatable. One small issue - it sleeps 4 but we only had three towels. Not a huge deal but not ideal. I’m sure it was an anomaly given how great everything else was. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend!

Stayed Dec 20, 2025Convenient location to the state and national parks, but right on a highway so it wasn’t great for quiet or dark experiences.Very clean, roomier than a hotel with basics as shown in the photos for microwaving and storing food.

Stayed Mar 15, 2025The casita was wonderful for our family. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette allowed us to eat some meals there. The only thing lacking was the coffee. The pictures show a Keurig coffee maker, so I came prepared with coffee pods, but there actually was not a Keurig. There was a small coffee maker, but there were no filters for it. I would've brought filters and coffee for it if I'd known. We were able to buy the tiny filters that fit it and some ground coffee at the grocery store. We left those filters for future tenants.

Stayed Feb 20, 2025When we first arrived the door was wide open. Not giving a great impression of security. Texas had just been hit with cold weather and the place was freezing!! Luckily there wasn’t anyone already in the place. Also, had issues getting the heat to work. After numerous YouTube videos we were able to get it to work. Not sure why it didn’t work when we just toggled to heat and bumped the temp up. I reached out to the host who didn’t respond that day. I reached out to VRBO who asked for a video showing it was blowing cold air. The door would shut if you slammed it shut. Because we didn’t get any answers in a timely matter we all packed our stuff anytime we had to leave. VRBO was a pain to deal with. Terrible customer service from them. If we had not had any issues with the first night, the place would have been perfect. Great location and just what we needed to visit Big Bend for a few days.

Stayed Dec 22, 2024My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and 3 days. Place was cozy, clean and more spacious than we thought it would be. Beds were comfy and the shower had good temperature and pressure. We were close to alot of spots like the gas station, and some eateries. At most, restaurants and the general store were about 10 minutes away. The road leads straight to big bend national park, about 30 minutes. The only downs were that some dishes weren't clean when we got there and we could never connect to the wifi (the owners never got back to us and I messaged them through the app the first night). Besides that though, we'd stay here again!

Stayed Nov 17, 2024We have stayed in the other Casita before, and this one is the same. It is as advertised. However, attention needs to be paid to a couple of electrical things that aren't to code. The light switch cover in the bath does not cover the box, and both the bath and the kitchen should be protected with GFCI outlets.

Stayed Oct 28, 2024We had a lovely stay in this little bungalow. It had everything you need for a visit. We visited both BBNP and the state park nearby (don't forget to visit that). A little coffee maker to brew some coffee was wonderful as an afternoon pick-me-up after a long morning of hiking, along with a mini-fridge to hold the basic necessities. It also had fully running water, with a full bathroom and drinkable water. Sometimes that can be hard to find around here! I will say there were flies, but it is the desert so what can ya' do. It's how it is! We just used the little fly swatter and killed them, but maybe some fly tape would be good in the corners of the building. Thank you so much for hosting us and we loved the visit! :)

Stayed Oct 15, 2024Overall the location of this property was good. We were able to explore the National Park, State Park, Terlingua and Lajitas. The casita was fine for what little time we spent there, however the inside of the property was not clean and the host did not communicate promptly. It was cute but just missed the mark a bit. Recommendations- cleaning needs to be a priority, larger refrigerator since many will want to cook given the remoteness of the area, more communication from host.
