Nothing unique, but this one is located right on the road whereas most are set back away from the road, the air conditioner is insufficient, it stayed warm in the cabin even at night with the air conditioner on and the temperature outside around 60. And there was no Wi-Fi which we needed badly for uploading pictures. We communicated with the managers but they did not or were not able to do anything.

This property was good. I don't know if it is worth the money, but it was the only thing left when I was planning my vacation in the area. We stayed for one night. The room is clean but basic, had enough amenities for one night, but any longer than that and the fridge would get full and we would have had to wash dishes constantly as there are only 4 of everything. We were looking forward to having a campfire, and based on reviews I was under the impression there was firewood included. Upon arrival, there was none, so I messaged the owner. We could not find any wood in town, so we had to light a bag of charcoal in fire in the pit. The next day the owner did get back to me and said she would have some delivered, but it was too late as we were leaving. Other than that, no complaints, it did the job for the one night we stayed. The ghost town nearby is super cute. The noise from the highway being so close didn't seem to be an issue, but it is definitely not a secluded cabin which would have appealed to us more for the price.

The property was nice because it had a full kitchen, and it was spacious in the casita. Supposed to be dark sky country, and you can see many stars. We see as many stars at home in AZ!

Property description is accurate. It is like a basic motel room: 2 beds, shower, microwave, keurig and small fridge. I found the beds to be very comfortable. When we arrived it was 85* in the room due to a faulty AC. Some parts were left on the porch a couple of days later but it was never fully functional. With outside temps near 100* in the afternoons this was a problem. In addition to making sure the AC works, it would be a good idea to put a grab-bar in the shower (slick floor) and another next to the rather low toilet.

This is a great location into the Park and surrounding eateries and tour organizations. It was wonderfully quiet. The price was high for the amenities and needs a thorough clean (under bathroom sink and cobwebs on ceiling) but comfortable. Our host was available for any concerns. We enjoyed our stay.

This Casita was perfect for us and very convenient to allow daily visits to Big Bend. The kitchen was equipped with plate, glasses, cups, coffee machine/coffee, utensils, can opener, etc. the fridge was on the small shelf de but good enough to hold drinks and small food items. Beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. The wifi was very spotty in unit A, but if you sit on patio you might be able to connect. Lots of space in the Casita for travel luggage and items you might want to bring with you. Hot water was always available and the bathroom was roomy. Overall we really enjoyed staying there and the wall in front on the Casita was a good idea. It allowed us to sit outside with privacy and play games under the stars.

The location & concept of the Casita A was nice but the cleanliness was not very sanitary. Not sure if the beds were changed properly because we found items in bed that did not belong to us. But my daughter & I had a wonderful time in Terlingua & someday will return.Becky HHouston, TX

My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much. The casita was perfect for us and our needs. The a/c worked great, the bathroom was the perfect size, and the location was very convienient to the entrance to the National Park and the highway to Terlingua. The beds were comfortable as well. We had an issue with the door code not working on our first day, but I reported it and was quickly resolved by the property owner. It is a little closer to highway 118 than we anticipated, but it was not a problem after we got used to it. We would definitely stay there again!

Free standing Casita near Big Bend. Great location. Alittle remote but there is a grocery store and a few places to eat near by. Convenient for our trips into Big Bend. Nice bathroom and kitchenette. Would stay again.

Thé Casita was exactly as the pictures … we thought it was perfect. My sister and I spent most of our time hiking and trip. The cabin was nice and refreshing to come back to every afternoon. It was very quiet and private. The AC worked great, the shower had plenty of nice hot water and the 2 queen beds were perfect for us and very comfortable with nice linens. The little kitchen was all we needed. Restaurants were close by but far enough away to give us quiet time and privacy. We would definitely stay there again. The only negative was the wifi never worked and our cell phones were not getting much service most of the time

I can’t say enough about the location for our trip to Big Bend! The Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay and that was a bit of an issue for us but I’m sure it’s been fixed. But Location is key! It is very basic (very) but met our needs. If you plan to cook you will have challenges but we didn’t and enjoyed some very good local establishments. I found it pricey for what it is but also realize it’s the going rate in the area with so few options. Because of location I would recommend and stay again!
