This place was exactly what we needed. Two things: the internet is non existent. I could only connect my phone and the reception was worse when it was connected. All the can openers are bad. Other than that, we had an amazing time. Thank you so much for hosting us. We look forward to our next trip here.

The host was easy to work with and responsive. It was a beautiful, comfortable retreat for our family and dog. The game room was so much fun. The giant TV setup worked great for March Madness. The hot tub was the perfect temp and worked great. The kitchen had everything needed to cook great meals. The location was peaceful & quiet. The fireplace was very well designed & made a roaring fire. We will definitely be returning to this place!

Pros: great communication with owner, messages were helpful and prompt, very convenient location to ski Bear Mountain, pleasant walking in the neighborhood, very family friendly cabin. Clean accommodations, Nice toiletry products, great outdoor private patio spa hot tub, fun game room with pool table, shuffle board table and vintage arcade games ( the adults liked, the kids were not amused) . Kids loved the bunk beds, extra blankets very helpful for a cozy night. Cons: the master bed mattress was so-so, the bed pillows lumpy and cheap, bring an eye mask if you need a dark room for sleeping, the kitchen pots and pans need an upgrade-used too long, burned out light bulbs and broken random lamps here and there, not enough seating at the dinning table ( only seats 4 people at dinner table). The cabin did not have enough towels for 7-8 people to shower and use the spa/1 large towel per person. Overall, very pleasant stay 4 out of 5 stars. I would book again for the ‘average rate’ weekends for this cabin. Caution on the value of the cabin if booking a high season rate.

My family and I loved our stay! The open layout of the kitchen and living room allowed for anyone cooking or preparing food to be a part of the fun and conversations happening. The game room was so spacious, the shuffleboard table was a huge hit for us. We did not have a chance to enjoy the firepit area but the hot tub was perfect temp and so relaxing! Very clean, it was a lovely stay.

The scenic views, the spacious house and the amazing game room are only the beginning of this stay. The area is absolutely beautiful and there is wildlife everywhere you look adding to the gorgeous landscape. The home was clean and ready for a family stay including dishes and cookware. We were very pleased with all of the amenities. 100/10 recommend. We will gladly stay again!

Nice home. Things were not stocked properly like empty salt and pepper shakers, no doggie poop bags. The pots and pans were old and had burnt grease and rust. We could not use them and therefore came home with lots of eggs and bacon! The hot tub was very cloudy and smelled. The maintenance guy came and dumped chemicals so we could use it in a few hours and only one area of jets work in an 8 seat hot tub. The air filters were filthy and he replaced them but did not vacuum the vents. One of the bar stools was broken and the screws were on the floor and the recliner chair does not recline. There was no cushions on the patio seats which are wicker, they took them off as the small animals chew them so we could not enjoy the fire pit. The guest bath-broken toilet seat and the shower heads were full of calcium and barley pushed the water out.

Nice place and family friendly atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood. Owner is quick to respond and offered to let us in a little early if property was available earlier than check-in time. The downside of what is otherwise a nice place, is that there were several things that were in need of repair. I won’t go into detail here, however, If this home is being tended by a property manager, my husband and I agreed that if WE were the owners, we would want to know this without taking offense. In good conscience cannot leave a 5 star review, because it’s not an honest assessment and not fair to renters. With repairs- it certainly could be.

Loved our stay at the house! It’s clean, modern, beautiful, and was perfect for our family vacation! The host was kind and attentive to any needs we had. The beds are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, bowls and everything like that that you will need to cook your meals. The game room was a BIG hit with my teenage and young adult children! We all had lots of fun together playing in the game room, relaxing in the jacuzzi, and eating by the fire pit. Made for a wonderful family vacation!

Great getaway for spring break. Did all the things Big Bear has to offer besides skiing. Location was amazing for Bear Mountain. Zoo is almost walkable as well. Home was amazing. Only small inconvenience was master bath sink has no hot water and zero pressure. Shower worked great though. Washing machine didn’t work , seems to short out, think it’s just dated. No other complaints. Great trip! Will come back again in winter.

While this is the most expensive and nicest place we have stayed in, we chose it because unlike our usual trip where it is just the wife and I and our fur babies, we had all the kids and their girlfriends this time and needed the space. This cabin was well worth the money spent as it was big and well appointed. It had all the comforts of home plus some. The game room was awesome for the kids and I enjoyed the spa. This is the first rental with a spa where the spa was actually usable and didn’t have an overpowering chlorine smell or was disgustingly dirty. The front yard was perfect for the dogs and very comfortable for us too. And that neighborhood. So quiet. This will definitely be a place we stay again when we need the room for family. Looking back on our 5 day stay, I really can’t think of a single negative to say.
