BIDWELL PARK BUNGALOW

We love to stay here! The home is welcoming, warm and in a perfect location!

Location is perfect! Walkable to downtown, Boswell park and many cafes and shops. Backyard is great for hanging out and home is comfy and clean!

We came up to Chico to visit out daughter at Chico State and this house was just perfect for our family. Great location, clean, comfortable and a great back yard for BBQ and Bocce hang out. Close to everything, we could walk to get coffee and have breakfast. We will stay here again.

A delightful old house in a charming neighborhood. We played bauchi ball in the backyard.

Very comfortable old home. Only two knocks: the yard could use a little work and sheets on the bed seemed a bit well, not new and crisp. Beverages and snacks were welcome and especially coffee. This is a 100 year old bungalow so some “rough around the edges” or “less than perfect” is not surprising. Overall, this was a really comfy place that I settled into like a favorite pair of jeans. Recommended.

Its the cutest little place. we enjoyed staying there very much. Very clean, everything you need, comfortable beds, love the decor. The street parking was a little concerning but it worked out fine. We could not get the heat to work but we knew it would be a problem ahead of time and brought our own heater and the house had a couple of space heaters we used. We probably could have contacted the owners and got it figured out but didnt think it was a big deal.

Overall good stay. Property was super nice and had everything anyone would need. I would definitely stay here again. Only note to take is clean the bathtub a little better. Other than that it was awesome

Charming bungalow, perfect for our family. A plus to be able to bring our dog. Great location and amenities. Had a great weekend visiting our sons who are at Chico State. We all loved being able to hang out, play bocce, and enjoy home cooked meals. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful close to downtown, and Chico State. We were very impressed with “more than” essentials in the kitchen. We bbq-ed on the back patio 2 nights. The Jukebox was so fun to use. We would stay here again!

Beautifully maintained property, very convenient for everything. We were moving our child into Chico State dorms so didn't have much time to enjoy the amenities outside (plus it was HOT!), but the couch was perfect for the relaxation we needed! Bed was very comfortable and we just generally had a really great stay! Hope to come back at some point!

The property was perfect!! Clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a few friends over for dinner and the backyard was the perfect spot. The kids danced to the jukebox!!We will ask to stay any time we are in Chico.

The house is very cute, decorated with lovely Chico -related decor and relatively accessible to downtown. It was very clean, the backyard is nice. You might want to note that it is on a very busy one-way street so you do hear street noise in the front and parking in front of the house can be a problem, so we parked around the corner. Also, the communication with the owner was poor as I was asked at one point to cancel my reservation because they said they wanted to do some construction work, although I think it was probably due to the high demand for that weekend. I didn’t preemptively cancel, but waited anxiously to see if they would, which they chose not to do I guess. Also, after I checked out we were told the cleaning person said we left the house “filthy” and would we pay a larger cleaning fee? We spent 80% of our time and almost all of our meals outside of the house never even using the stove or any appliances and we would never leave a house dirty, so we absolutely disagreed and the issue was dropped. I have to say that took away from the experience for us.

We spent three nights at this adorable and practical house. Everything we needed was provided, the furnishings were comfortable, and the location was perfect - just a few short blocks to the park and to town. I kinda don't want to let the secret out so that next time I'm looking for accommodations, you won't have snatched it up!

My son and I were in town to check out Cal State Chico and the location of the property was minutes away from the campus. We were able to get a good lay of the land while we mere there while enjoying the comfort and attention to detail in the house! Walking into the house after a 7 1/2 hour drive from Orange County and walking out of the 103 degree heat into the air conditioning and ceiling fans was heaven!! The juke box is so cool and has an excellent assortment of music that we enjoyed! Would definitely stay there again! Had to communicate with the host just about resetting the juke box to work and received a response and solution within minutes!

We love this little bungalow for it's location and Chico charm! The street parking on Pine St. can be a little tight so just be careful when exiting your car. This is our 4th summer staying here and we'll be back next year.

We enjoyed our four-day visit here with my parents to see my daughter graduate from Chico State. We had fun with the bocce ball, and it was a perfect location for walking downtown and to graduation. Cute house!

Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the house and location more!
