This was great. My husband and I stayed here with our 5 kids and my dad. Everyone has plenty of space and we were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals, and we were able to do laundry before we left. Kathy was available with quick responses to any questions we had. We would stay here again for sure.
My team travelled from all over TN and KY to film in Sparta and we needed both a comfy place to sleep and a beautiful place to film. Cunningham Cabin fit both, and they allowed events which meant we were allowed to subhost the entire cast and crew while we worked. Communication with Kathy and her team was effortless, and they were happy to oblige our crazy ideas as we made our Christmas short film at the cabin and the beautiful creek on their property. Check in and check out were painless. The only downside was the creek is into the property a little ways and there's stairs leading down maybe 40'. Carrying movie equipment up and down the stairs made my legs hurt, but whose fault is that? My fault. So Cunningham Cabins and Kathy get 5 stars, me not working out my legs so they get sore walking up stairs gets 2.5 stars. Haha. But seriously: very cozy cabin, lovely host, out-of-the-way location, and beautiful Middle Tennessee scenery. Recommended!
Son and his family recently moved to Sparta, staying here allowed us to visit with them and put no stress on them. Great place. Will possibly book again.
Very quiet and enjoyed the time we had there
Loved this property. Very clean and beautiful home. Did have to message the owner to ask about access to the creek, got a response very quickly. Very quiet, big enough for a large family! We traveled about 4 hours to visit Fall Creek Falls, will definitely return if the opportunity arises!
We have stayed at this location with this host before and we love it here. There are great amenities and it's in a wonderful location accessible to so many great things to see. Enjoyed our trip and we'll be back.
The house had great space for us and we enjoyed the coziness of the living room. Unfortunately, the outside space was not as cozy. The grill had a wasp nest in it and it was a long walk to get to the outside space, so cooking out really wasn't an option. We were really disappointed with that part and spent no time out there. The description also mentioned a creek and trails, which I'm assuming are part of the main property. Since this house sits in a different part, an invitation and directions would have been helpful. We enjoyed our stay, but had to adapt our plans based on the outdoor space situation.
Very nice ,clean, affordable.
We stayed 2 nights in the property. We explored Fall Creeks Fall and Twin Falls at Rock Island State Park. Both waterfalls were beautiful. The house we stayed was very cleaned and spacious for our family of 7. The location is within reasonable distance of both state parks.
Home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and the kids loved spending time down near the creek.
This place was exactly what my family and I needed to have our own space, cook our own food, and just relax together! It was super helpful to be able to do a couple loads of laundry, and have separate spaces: den vs. living room, for different activities. A perfect distance between State Parks and our friends we came to visit. Thankfully, the road it's situated on was not super busy and we were able to enjoy walking the back of the property, with creek and such. As an aside: we opted to use the oven instead of grill as the propane was not set up and the heating element was pretty rusty/grill needed cleaned out, etc. But good selection of pots/pans, dishware & utensils - even Keurig type coffee machine!
This property was amazingly clean. It is centrally located to everywhere we wanted to see. Unfortunately for us, it rained most of the time we were there so we couldn't do some of the falls as they were closed, though we did get to see some amazing landscaped areas. Thank for the kindness with snacks, coffee and water. We enjoyed our girls getaway!!
