Stayed Jun 19, 2021We had a great week in Falmouth, having good weather always helps. The Falmouth View cottage is an exceptional property, probably one of the best we have ever used. Having never visited or stayed in Falmouth before, I cant say the best in the Town, but the property would have to exceptional to beat this. Our host Helena was very helpful, when needed, she was there to help. Not that we need much help as everything was to hand. We had the choice of two parking spaces which was good because my car is a bit on the large size. Falmouth is one of those town where you are either going up a hill or down one. The cottage location is probably not right if you have any health issues (the Jacobs ladder steps are like the north face of Everest, only went up once and swore never again. However, there are other less strenuous options) I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, with great views and a town with loads of Drinking and Eating options.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Couldn’t recommend this place any more. Helena was so helpful & was always available to assist. The home was lovely & the view from the balcony was exceptional. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again....

Stayed Mar 30, 2020The property was amazing! Such a great location and beautiful views. I had to come here during the lockdown for work and I was thankful to have such a beautiful place to be isolated in. Helena was so helpful as my crew and I had no where else to stay. Hopefully one day I will be able to return for an actual holiday and would definitely stay here again!!

Stayed Jun 24, 2017It's the view of Falmouth Harbour from the balconies of this house that make it special. Other than that it was mediocre, and it's very misleading to advertise it as being suitable for four adults; there's a standard double bed in one bedroom, and a 4 ft 'occasional' double in the other. The house was clean and the kitchen was generally well-equipped, but avoid it if you're elderly or infirm - the staircases are steep and narrow, and there's nowhere comfortable to sit: the worn out settee and armchair in the sitting room are too low, and the chairs on the balconies are very basic folding chairs. Parking was a nightmare. The house is in a narrow street with double yellow lines, where parking outside even to unload or load the car is out of the question. It was a matter of driving round and round the surrounding streets of tightly packed terraced houses to find a parking space. However, it's only a 5-minute walk into the town centre (provided you can manage the hills and steps). That's the nature of the house's position and obviously outside the owner's control, but the comfort of the house could be improved by investing in a decent settee and a proper double bed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A wonderful old house, renovated up to modern standard and decorated with much love. Two balconies and one terrace face the harbor. It´s situated in a silent street but only 5 minutes to walk to the city centre with lovely cafés and restaurants. Our children (13,16) were as enthusiastic as us. The owner left us 'Cornish Tea' and 'Shortbread' as a welcome present. We walked along the coastal footpath to Glendurgan Gardens (4h), visited the castle in Falmouth and spent lovely times on the 'Halyle Sands' beach. We're looking forward to come back next holidays.
