Stayed Jul 30, 2023It was very nice, excellent location, there was alot of stuff that was not there that was shown on the add, no jet skies, no boat no water trampoline, and didn't know that we had to do laundry, if you don't have a boat it is not for you

Stayed Jul 30, 2022Unfortunately, the best feature of the property is location - if you have a boat. The property served our purposes, however, many items in listing were not what we found on arrival. House is more rustic and dated vs “fully renovated.” Rooms are full of unnecessary furniture and bedding was dingy, mattresses old, and pillows were disgusting (bring you own!) Kitchen drawers full of junk and food left in the fridge/freezer. House was not very clean and we had mice (chipmunks?) eating the food on the counter (no other place to store it in cupboards.) There were fewer bedrooms/beds than listed. No real place to put tents. No way there is sleeping for 40! Sleeping cabins did not have air conditioning as stated and the bunk beds were very uncomfortable. Second shower is located in a shed which was not clean at all - cobwebs, dead bugs, dirty floor. Jet skis were not available, kayaks took on water. Exterior not as clean and green as pictured. Lots of junk piled up everywhere. We did not feel property lived up to the listing. Too bad, because with some upkeep and investment, this place could be amazing.

Stayed Jun 16, 2020The house is in an incredible location. It is on a point jutting out a bit into the lake and only a five minute boat ride from the town. This is very convenient. The owner is also very personable. However, you really need your own boat if you’re going to ride around on the lake. Jerry was nice enough to include a boat in the rental but it was for getting to town and back and wouldn’t be something you would cruise the lake in or pull a skier. As far as cleanliness goes, it wasn’t very clean. There were chipmunk droppings around the house. The general state of the property is not clean. To be fair, we were the first rental of the season and this might account for some of the lack of cleanliness. Jerry also mentioned that he was having someone come to take care of the chipmunks after we left. In addition, I feel the listing is misleading on VRBO. It is a three bedroom house that sleeps six. There are two small cabins that sleep another four people in each cabin for a total of twelve people. There are two bathrooms; one in the main house and one in a separate building that is nicer than an outhouse (there is running water and a shower). I’m not sure how anyone would sleep 24-40 people comfortably as suggested on the listing. You would be sleeping in a tent, going to the bathroom in the woods and there wouldn’t be any hot water for a shower. The jet skis were not in working condition and could not be rented. The rowboat is not in working condition, and the two person kayak takes on water as you paddle around. There is no cabin cruiser boat to rent either. We had a great time as two families with a total of 9 people. I think it could be a great place to rent if it was cleaned up more, the boats and jet skis were either in working condition or removed from the listing so that expectations were appropriate, and you have your own boat.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Thank you Jerry for the wonderful week. There was something for everyone to do. From the oldest to youngest, all got along super well and were busy from dawn to dusk. Playing in the water, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, etc. Your kitchen is super stocked with every gadget anyone would need. Don't ever sell your place it is truly a prime spot on CDA Lake! Keep it family friendly...The Broussard Family, 50th Anniversary

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our sixtieth wedding anniversary family get-together. Carlson Point is special and Jerry is a great host. The house and cabins are well equipped and maintained. The view is 270 degrees and spectacular. We even had a daily air show from a bald eagle. Everyone hated to leave. Ah, memories!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jerry's house and he set us up well and showed us the ropes. I highly recommend you rent the 2 boats and 2 jet ski's to go with if you have a big group.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969If you want to be near downtown but not in town or the resort, this is the place to be. My wife and I, along with our son's family of four, stayed comfortably in the home. When we were looking for a vacation place, we were unsure if a boat access only place would work, but all of us loved it. The kids absolutely loved the water and the watercraft available. The owner, Jerry, helped us city folks get used to lake living and was available for us all the time. If you want the best view on the lake, this is where you must go!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969From the get go we knew the rental would be great because the owner Jerry was so accommodating to our very last minute request of renting his place with very short notice and all our questions were answered immediately. The location, layout and amenities (kitchen had what you needed, especially liked the blender that crushed the ice perfectly for the many lime margarita's that were enjoyed on the deck while watching the sun set after a day on the water and playing on your own private beach)... everything was as listed and the property was clean and well-maintained. The house was perfect (kids loved the sleeping cabins) - very kid friendly and had all the toys a kid (big & small) could possible want at a lakefront house, as well as, several telescopes and hi-end binoculars to watch the bald eagle, osprey...and see the happenings on the lake close up. We had plans to see more of Coeur d'Alene and the surrounding area (amusement park, Tubbs Hill...) but we did not need to go anywhere - we felt like we were on our own glorious private island and we had all that we needed (after we stocked up on food at Costco of course). It was amazing; we cannot say enough about Jerry's place! It was one for the books as they say - happy memories and fun filled adventures...As we were leaving, the kids were begging us to promise that we would return - and we had no qualms about saying yes, of course we will!!! We have been showing off our pictures of the amazing views from the house and all the fun we had. We have no doubt that our Canadian friends are very tempted to rent Jerry's place and we hope our review will convince you not to hesitate. It is soooo... worth it! We have driven past Coeur d'Alene for years and we wish we'd stopped & discovered it sooner. We will never think of Idaho as just about potatoes - what a beautiful city Coeur d'Alene is and Jerry's place is the place on the lake! We could not possibly rent another place when we go back - Jerry & Jerry's place with the view; the relaxing, warm atmosphere; very homey, not fancy, a down to earth place where you can appreciate the beauty of nature & lakefront living, and of course all the lake toys spoiled us for any other place in the area!!! We will be back! Thank you so much Jerry for sharing your place with us!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Jerry was extremely nice and gave us a spectacular deal for Labor Day weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Incredible views, great fishing, and the cabin had everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. The place was spotless when we arrived and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a get away.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was a good experience with the owner making the real difference. The vacation experience is always more enjoyable when you are dealing with good people and Jerry would be one of those people. The place was good, the view was great and the experience nice!! Would recommend this place especially if you have a bigger group becasue of the numerous rooms and activities. Boating , jet skiing, etc.
