Best of Durango Secluded, 600 feet of riverfront, park-like setting

What a great place to stay! Very spacious, we had our 3 teen boys and 2 little ones. Sleeping arrangements were plentiful. House was clean and felt like home. Although, it was cold we enjoyed the outdoors. I just know its beautiful in the summer and spring time. Great home internet for streaming! Located 15 minutes from town, which was awesome. Very secluded and private! Host was very quick to reapond and made our stay wonderful. We would definitely recommend this place!

From start to finish, our stay was truly exceptional. The hosts were absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive. Their communication before our arrival made everything so easy and stress-free, and throughout our stay, if any questions arose, they were prompt and detailed. Every instruction was clear, thoughtful, and made us feel completely at ease from the moment we arrived.The home itself is stunning — spacious, beautifully designed, and set in such a peaceful location that you can feel yourself relaxing the moment you step inside. The views are breathtaking, and the nearby river adds a nice touch. Whether you’re fishing, sipping coffee by the water, or curled up with a good book, it feels like you’ve found your own private slice of paradise.Inside, everything was spotless and so well-equipped. The kitchen had every supply we could possibly need, and the thoughtful touches throughout the home made it feel warm and inviting. We especially loved the cozy fireplace, the family games, the fast internet, and the luxuriously steamy shower after a day outdoors. Every detail showed how much care and pride the hosts put into their home.Our family can’t wait to return — this home truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t recommend it more highly for anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly hosted getaway.

Great location - I did not review the notes well enough to understand the house was Split between two homes. Our Neighbor Andy was very nice and I believe we got lucky with how peaceful the setting was this week. I was looking for Privacy and a quite setting on the river and that could have flipped with a different family next door. The Steam shower?? AMAZING! Very comfortable well-appointed home.

Absolutely amazing property and location! Great host with excellent communication. Everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. Will stay here again.

Beautiful setting, loved leaving the windows open and hearing the river go over the rocks. Close enough to town but secluded so that you never knew it existed. Home has all the amenities you could need.

What an incredible place! Nick was helpful and understanding when I missed some instructions. The location is fabulous and the house is beautiful and so comfortable. We did have neighbors in the place next door but it was still peaceful and enjoyable. The river running through the property was lovely. We spent most of our time sitting by it as some family members fished. Our family would love to go here again.

The property was even better than advertised. Excellent stay and very good hosts with GREAT communication. Loved being on the Florida River with easy access to Durango. Family of 6 adults stayed very comfortably.

We had a wonderful stay in Durango! Being from South Texas our family wanted to spend Christmas in the snow! The house is tucked away in a secluded valley. The house had snow all around when we arrived. Snow didn’t come down until Christmas but, boy did it come down! God gets the credit for the snow.

We loved the setting. River in front and mountains behind. The house is equipped very nicely. Our hosts were beyond great and so considerate of us and helpful.

Prompt response in communication with hosts. Beautiful property in a great location for access to the many wonders of southwestern Colorado and northwestern New Mexico.

We can’t say enough good things about this home. We stayed in the Trout House and had plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 vehicles. We grilled one night on the charcoal grill that is available. We saw quite a few large trout in the river but our fly fishing skills may need a bit of improvement. Downtown Durango is an easy 15 minute drive. The home is in such a peaceful area. Neighbors can’t really been seen (on an hilltop) and you have so much river frontage that it’s just breath taking. We would absolutely love to return again. Hosts were very communicative and let us know that neighbors had seen a mountain lion crossing their bridge one morning while we were there. This is really a gem. Extra clean & comfortable. Perfect for our vacation in Durango.

The setting was beautiful and quiet, about 15 minutes from town (unless you hit commuter traffic, and then allow much more time). Common spaces in the house were nice for our group of seven. One of the bedrooms was quite small, and not completely private (barn doors). The host was very responsive to text messages. Make sure to check that the smoke detectors have been fixed (we got a middle of the night wake up call, and later heard that it was a recurring issue). Our group enjoyed the stay here.

Our family had a great time. The house had everything we needed, the property was immaculate, and access to the river was exactly what we wanted. We will definitely stay again.

Best of Durango is right! Unsurpassed grounds. Exceptionally comfortable master bed and bath. Thoughtfully outfitted kitchen. We wanted for nothing. The quality of this home was in the structure but also in the way it was supplied. Kitchen utensils and serving plates, extra pillows, blankets and towels. NO cheap out here. Fully loaded toilet paper, detergent, paper towels, ziploc...even a homey junk drawer with pens and paper! Wow, just wow. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Per the other reviews and pictures, i was pretty confident that what we saw on the listing was what we were going to get. That being said this place more than exceeded expectations! There were so many little touches that were not advertised that made us very comfortable, as it truly felt like home. We really appreciate the texts and communications upon arriving, regarding local attractions and things that maybe only locals know about. My wife who loves horses, was able to spend every day walking to see them in the fields to the north and my son and I were able to throw in a couple lines after we took some fly fishing lessons before we got there. We really enjoyed the steam shower after a long day rafting, loved the incredibly stocked kitchen and mostly just sitting on the patio, listening to the sounds of nature.

The property exceeded expectations! Our family of nine fit perfectly in the two houses and the property was a wonderfully relaxing place to unwind during downtime between seeing the local sites (we did Mesa Verde and Silverton). Communication with the owners was exceptional and they clearly care about their renters’ stay as the houses are stocked for cooking at “home” and staying in. We made memories here that will last a lifetime! I HIGHLY recommend.
