Stayed Dec 20, 2025Nice place! Perfect for our family trip over the holidays! House Manager was very helpful, responsive and friendly. Kitchen could have been a bit cleaner, but nothing we weren't able to tidy up on our own. Nice location, beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay. Amenities were sufficient, but only enough trash bags, dish soap and paper towels to last about 3 days. If you're staying longer be sure to bring/grab some extra. Also be prepared to dispose of your own trash at the local trash facility about 5 miles away as there is no trash pickup and two small trash cans. Kudos to the House Manager for the beautiful Christmas decorations -- it truly made the place feel like home to us.

Stayed Oct 15, 2025We had an ok stay. Pet odor when we came in. Same odor in large bedroom. We went to store and picked up spray. It helped. Driveway is very steep. Thankful for semi flat place to park. Stairs are also very steep. We were in and out each day. Long way to main road. Kayaks are there but water is far away to put them in. No iron.Owner and manager very reachable.Cleanliness of bed sheets… questionable. Need your own credentials to use TVQuiet neighborhood.

Stayed Sep 12, 2025Becky was an absolutely fabulous host. She always responded to messages in a timely manner before and during our stay. The inside of property was beautiful and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed Aug 26, 2025Spacious home in a quiet neighborhood. We all had our own room. We enjoyed the sunroom. Near Cove Point Park/Pool. We enjoyed taking our kids to the pool and our dogs to the dog park inside Cove Point Park. Communication with Becky was great. I definitely recommend to stay at the Belle! Thank you!

Stayed Jun 30, 2025We visited this property for the week of July 4th. It served as a good location to visit Calvert Cliffs, go kayaking in Leonardtown, and visit the museum and fireworks in Solomons. We booked the location because we wanted to access the Bay Beaches in the community. Or biggest regret with this listing is that it says it is a short walk to the beach. That might be true if you travel through peoples yards, but it is a 1.7 mile drive to the close beach, and not walkable. The house was fine. It looks like there was some recent remodeling. There was a large nail sticking out on the steps down that would snag our socks and cut my foot, but hopefully they fixed it. The listing also mentions arcade/game room. But they have a basement kitchen with some board games. The kitchen was supposed to be fully stocked, and they had salt and pepper shakers, but those were empty. The check-in book mentions body wash and basic soaps, but there was only shampoo and conditioner in the shower. There was a firepit but no lighter. The sunroom had a citronella candle in it that was melting due to the heat and the whole room was in useable even with windows open during it stay because of the smell. So while it was a nice place, some of the descriptions made us feel misled and soured our opinions of the house.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025Excellent communication from the owner, Julie and the property manager. Our family (newborn to adults) stayed at this property while in town for a wedding at Rousby Hall. We were a quick and easy 15 minute drive away from the venue. The house was very clean and nicely set up to accommodate our group. We only wish we had more time to spend at the house than we did. The pictures are exactly what you see when you check in - no unhappy surprises. Thank you for hosting us and being so flexible with our special requests.

Stayed Jan 3, 2025Our granddaughters live in the neighborhood and our youngest was having her first birthday! It was just my husband and myself, way more house than we needed but tons more comfortable than a hotel. The winter views of the Bay from the living room were awesome. I highly recommend you make a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. A few surprises with the house itself, the most egregious for me was the fireplace pictured is not functional. The hosts have done a nice job with this house and are still working on it. It’s super comfortable, well stocked and nicely decorated. We will return. If I could have given it a 8.9 I would have.

Stayed Nov 26, 2024Plus: nice size house; responsive property manager; kitchen reasonably well equipped; nice shared living area; great to have second refrigerator and stove. Minus: no broom (that we could find); leaves thick and slippery on the driveway and steps (with a broom we could have swept them aside, which would have been very helpful); hot water was SCALDING and it was difficult to get any faucet so that it was hot w/o being too hot (honestly, this would be a safety issue if children were staying at this house); downstairs bathroom had a non-working sink and the toilet tank took forever to fill (we resorted to using a pot to pour water into the tank from the faucet in the kitchenette); there were mice in the kitchen (which we discovered when a bag of cookies and stuffing cubes were consumed); a broom would have been helpful for keeping the floor clean.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024This was a great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood, a short drive from Calvert Cliffs State Park. Plenty of space for four adults. We could have stayed longer and would not hesitate to book again.

Stayed Oct 29, 2024We initially booked due to location (we have family in the neighborhood). We are so glad we did! The property had plenty of space for 6 and offered rest and relaxation after a busy wedding weekend. The only con I can think of with the property is that all bathrooms are on the smaller side. The comfort, convenience, and amenities offered far outweighs this. This property is sure to become our go to when visiting the area.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024The inside of the house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable, with new mattresses. It worked well for a group of friends. However, the outside was not as inviting and could use attention. The lid to the trashcan outside had a hole that appeared to have been chewed by an animal, and trash was scattered on the ground. The driveway is very steep, making it hard to park and fit more than 3 cars. We also couldn't log into the WIFI the entire stay and although the house manager was responsive at first, she stopped responding after the first night. Since we had no WIFI, we were unable to use the TV, and our cell phones had spotty service.

Stayed Aug 25, 2024We enjoyed our stay at the Belle of the Chesapeake. The house was very spacious and had a cozy feel. We had a concern & was extremely pleased at how quickly Becky responded to our text and took care of the situation. We look for many things in homes but always appreciate when we get the personal touch. We loved the closeness to Solomon’s Island & Driftwood Beach. I would definitely recommend this house. Thanks , Wanda

Stayed Aug 23, 2024Everything was clean, beds were all very comfortable, towels were plentiful including beach towels, kitchenware was comprehensive, lots of games and a poker set, beachy decor, common space areas are open and great for family time. Enjoyed the built out platform fire pit out front and that the back deck had a paved grilling area off the sun room. Parking steep/tricky but room enough for 2 pickups and 2 suvs and space for our kayaks. An in-law apartment is on the ground level, off the driveway with a full bathroom and kitchen, but there are steps adjoining up to the main level family room and kitchen. Loved the private neighborhood beach access with room to spread out, fish, lounge, kayak. Close to Calvert Cliffs for a hike and fossil beach, fishing pier near the bridge, the Maritime Museum has skates and rays, lionfish, sea horses and sea otters; several restaurants nearby, fun low key beachy town, great homebase house.
