Beautiful West Beach Waterfront Home - Spectacular Setting!

This was the best fit rental for my family and I. We all loved the lay out, the openness of the living room, the view from the bottom floor and the top floor had us in awe! The kitchen was full of storage and was equipped with everything we needed. I have read some reviews about how the house is dated, but I loved it. It added to the house's charm. There was plenty to do for my children. There was a hockey table in the garage, card table on the top floor. We would definitely love to stay here again.

The house was exactly as pictured! Perfect size for six adults and two children. Incredible views throughout the whole house! Kitchen had most items we needed for hosting a big meal over a holiday weekend. Across the street from the fabulous Hastie Lake Christmas Lights display which is a fabulous bonus for this time of year

Everything about this house, the location, and amenities exceeded our expectations. We will be booking this property again - it was perfect for our family of 5 being together cooking meals, playing board games, birdwatching, beach walking, cozy movies, and good vibes. It was the true PNW energy we were hoping for.

This is an amazing property with a can't beat location and responsive host. We stayed here with another family to celebrate a birthday that was truly a vacation for us all!As others have mentioned previously, some of the outlets were not functioning and the appliances, mainly the coffee maker were wonky. At least the k-cup machine was working and well stocked. The third bedroom with the bunk beds for the kiddos, while amazing in its ability to sleep many, was a slight inconvenience as it was connected to the master bathroom and situated in a way that the kiddos had to walk through the bathroom and master bedroom to get to the living area. Something to consider for families with younger kiddos who go to the bathroom a lot at night or need to get to parents across the other side of the house.Also while the game room was a fun escape for the kiddos, there were random tools is relative close proximity to the air hockey table so they just had to be extra aware of their surroundings.Also for those sensitive to smells, while this doesn't impact the overall score, is meant to be an fyi as the linens did smell rather strong. Luckily the weather was great so we were able to air out the bedrooms but the first day/night was a bit challenging to get the detergent smell to dissipate. All in all however, we'd happily stay here again as it was our first time to the island!

The house was amazing and the location was beyond compare!!! We were steps to the shore and could hear the gentle lapping of the water. Sunsets were AMAZING! What an awesome place to relax and catch up with old friends!! The best part of my entire stay was walking down the beach in the morning and seeing a bald eagle on the shore!!!!The location is great and there are stores nearby. At the end of two full days of world-class hiking, it was nice to sit on the deck, soak in the sunset and enjoy a cold drink! Absolutely stunning!!The house had everything we needed and the owner was great to communicate with. One of my favorite stays ever!!

Great stay. Property was just as advertised, communication with the owner was excellent. No problems whatsoever.

Excellent location and great accommodations. The best part of this property is its location. Right on the Sound, amazing sunsets, and easy drive to all things Whidbey Island. The kitchen is well-stocked with the essentials, plus some helpful extras. The kitchen, dining and living areas are large and great for meal prep and hang out. The back deck is fantastic. Other items to be aware of are that all bedrooms have a door to the outside, and several do not have a deadbolt. If you have littles, the stairs and the landing on the top floor could be a safety concern. Overall, just a really wonderful location and we hope to be back for our next Whidbey Island trip!

Two friends and I stayed here for a couple day reunion and loved it. If you are looking for fancy, this is not it. If you want absolutely stunning sunsets from the front patio, a kitchen that is stocked with everything you need to cook delicious meals, and musical instruments to play...then this is the place. Beach access a little tricky if you have mobility issues. Also wonderful birding. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Our Whidbey Island rental offered stunning oceanfront views, abundant wildlife (rabbits, deer, eagles, otters), and wonderful natural light. The location was ideal—peaceful yet convenient to shops and national parks, with an incredible oceanfront patio for meals. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, musical instruments, and a layout perfect for two families seeking separate spaces.However, our stay had some issues. Cleaners were still present at check-in, and a strong fabuloso smell lingered. Many exterior doors were difficult to operate, raising security concerns. Climate control was challenging; large windows caused heat buildup, but most didn't open. The top room's portable AC was insufficient, and opening the balcony door was complex. We had to clean a clogged dishwasher filter and ineffective vacuum filters. The drip coffee maker was broken. Mattresses were squeaky, and the bunk bed felt wobbly. Overall, the location is incredible, but the house needs an update and some basic fixes, price point notwithstanding.

The 3 of us renting had these filters: 3 bedroom, 2 bath, waterfront, and air conditioning. Before specifics, we'd like to say our host, John, was available, helpful, and responsive. As to the property, we concur with reviews dating back from 2020 to the present regarding stained carpets, musty odor, broken blinds, dirty coffeemakers, and questionable cleanliness. Most importantly, the day we arrived was hot, but much cooler outside than in. We walked into an unbearably hot home. The main floor of the house: bedrooms/dining/living area, has NO air conditioning. Upstairs, where the comfy sofas and TV are, a window unit struggled to cool things down, but it took two days before we could watch TV. Downstairs, we wanted to open windows, but none of them open. We pulled down the blinds that weren't broken or missing. Our host responded immediately, buying us fans. We duct-taped sheets on the windows that didn't have blinds. What saved us was a cool front our third day.Important note to ourselves and VRBO: Don't assume the filter of air conditioning will give accurate results.

I've stayed in my fair share of house rentals and this house was definitely top 3! The house was perfect! Would definitely stay again!!

The house was clean, well-equipped, and spacious with gorgeous ocean views (especially from the top floor which has a gorgeous sitting room) and easy access to the beach. We would definitely stay again!

This was exactly as advertised, though I think the host underplayed how amazing the sunsets are (if you are as lucky as we were with the weather during our stay) We will 100% stay here next time we are visiting our family on the island. The host was clear and accurate in his communication and everything is as you see it in the picture. It is literally right on the beach- I could throw a rock into the surf at high tide! The best VRBO experience we've ever had.

Beautiful location, with ways to enjoy the ocean view both inside (from most rooms in the house), or outside (on the deck or just steps away on the beach). The house was very clean and everything we needed was provided (kitchenware, linens etc) The piano was in tune and playable (not always the case, in our experience). Note that access to the 3rd bedroom is through a shared bathroom (or through the carport). Also note that beach access involves a small scramble over a rock wall. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely rent again!

Loved the spaciousness and privacy. Incredible views of the ocean, San Juan Islands, and the Olympic Peninsula. Well appointed kitchen and lots of extra blankets. Some wear and tear around the property, but easy to overlook it given all the positive aspects and the price. Did not appreciate having to haul my own recycling to a drop-off center given how good Washington State is at recycling. Overall - 5/5 would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 5 adults and 2 grandsons, ages 6 and 8, had an absolutely wonderful 4-day stay! Many nearby attractions offered educationsl opportunities, exercise, beach fun, whales, otters and more.The house was welcoming and clean on arrival, although it is an older home and we found it in need of minor, general upkeep during our stay. Bathroom locations are a bit awkward but manageable. Loved the large and fully functioning kitchen. Cupboards are well supplied but could use some organizing, as there are several and searching for items needed grew tedious.Overall, the house is a grand place to stay. The piano, guitars, ukelele and trumpet were joyfully used by all.Only helpful feedback to owner would be to update rugs, tend to small repairs and replace upstairs decking to allow guest use.We have no complaints to offer, just suggestions for improvement. We enjoyed this home so much, at the end of our stay, none of us wanted to leave!

Stayed at the beach house 2 nights with a group of friends. Emailed the property manager multiple times after booking for clarification on some minor details to help us prepare for the trip with no answer. Made due with out the information, but a few of the answers would've really helped (I was asking about kitchen appliances and furniture).The house is nice enough, it clearly needs some love as every door is hard to operate, the heaters in every room operate independently making some rooms too hot and others cold, the carpet and furniture are old and pretty worn out, the panel door in the master bathroom makes an insane amount of noise every time someone opens the other door and the other bathroom is between two bedrooms which is super inconvenient at night, the upstairs sink doesn't work, the bench for the piano is a death trap, and the bunk beds felt unstable for use.This didn't make the experience terrible, but for the cost of over 400/night with fees, I expected something slightly nicer. Also the cleaners do an okay job, there were some random candy wrappers and other bits around.

The property location and views were great. They have a really good collection of board games as well. Perfect weekend getaway for family and friends and is kid-friendly as well.

This was the perfect spot for our family celebration! We loved the stunning water views and connection to outside that the wall of windows on both the main floor and the circular upper floor provided. We hope to return.

Stayed here with family (total 4 adults and 4 kiddos). Communication beforehand was great, the property was easy to get to, and the views were as amazing as you would expect. The kitchen, dining, and living areas were as pictured, and really take advantage of the amazing water views. Its a house with cool bones in a great location. What you can't really tell from the pictures is that one of the bathrooms has aging wall-to-wall carpet over most of the floor (there is tile right by the toilet). The house was clean but the carpet has definitely seen better days.

This place was out of dream! We loved it.

A group of Oak Harbor high school graduates stayed at this location for our reunion. We enjoyed some walks on the beach and fishing from the beach. Unfortunately, we had no luck fishing. The home was very relaxing and we enjoyed looking at the wonderful view and sharing lots of stories. I look forward to bringing my family here for sometime next summer. Highly recommended!

Amazing location!

Property was great overall but there were some issues. Pros Location view and wildlife were amazing we saw bald eagles catching fish out of the surf sea otters and deer plus the small bunnies. Sunsets awesome (except the cloudy days) Even caught the aurora one night and some shooting stars Cons Though all amenities listed were present not all were accurately described. The AC was only a window unit upstairs. The air hockey fussball and table tennis were in the garage but only the table tennis was working. There are also many items needing repairs. I notified the owners but they never responded. The internet is there but only worked intermittently. Worst con is owners are terrible at communicating. If these items were all addressed this would be an easy 5 star rating but as is it’s a 4 star as the pros outweighed the cons

The house has a beautiful view and perfect layout for 2 families to stay together. We each had our own bathroom, and the main bedrooms were far enough apart that our little one crying in the night wasn't a problem for the other to family. The house is also right on the water and several times from the windows we saw a little family of otters right in the back yard here running back and forth from the sea up into a storm drain to had further inland it seems. So cute!

6 women friends gathered here for a little getaway. It was a great place to do this. Beautiful outlook, lots of light, and plenty of space for everyone. Communicating with John was easy. Thank you for a wonderful place to gather!

The view is beautiful and the house is clean. I don’t feel the house and the rate I paid match thou. Surprised to not find any body soap which was a first for us who travel often. Never heard from anyone before check in or when I asked about soap.
