Dubuque, Iowa
This Mission-style home built in 1924 is nestled in the historic bluffs of downtown Dubuque. Overlooking the Mississippi River and downtown. Walking distance to the Farmers Market, Millwork District, Loras College and many coffee houses.
An easy trip to 2 casinos, local restaurants and less than 30 minutes to the Field of Dreams and Galena.
The scenic views from inside the house, front and back patio are like no other.
House was great! Thought of everything. Super nice to stay in a stocked kitchen. Lots of extra touches! Thank you!
Everyone was really happy with the their room and the amazing views of Debuque. Great help for our family's Christmas celebration this year. Great value for our needs. Thanks.
The hosts have renovated this lovely home skillfully and have furnished it tastefully. It’s a great combination of old-house charm and modern convenience. Unlike some older homes, it’s warm and cozy, not drafty. The kitchen is fully outfitted so guests can cook whatever they like or enjoy good restaurants downtown. We were visiting family in Dubuque for five days over Thanksgiving and this was a perfect lodging solution for our family plus an uncle. We will be back!
Very clean, lovely decor, comfortable and homey.
Adorable house for family wknd - was within walking distance of college - farmers market - had a lovely front patio with a fire pit to use overlooking DuBuque- and the owner left cupcakes for us! highly recommend!
Beautiful house. Charm, location, view, amenities are all key words to describe the property.
We were so happy to find a mission-style rental -- seems like most places offer sterile-feeling grey or are overladen with doilies, pillows and dusty art. This home is clean, comfortable, peaceful and welcoming with more thoughtful touches than I can list here. One outdoor seating area offers a stunning view of Dubuque and a fire pit, the other offers back-yard privacy, native flowers and a grill. The beds are comfortable with just enough pillows for sleeping or reading (rather than the ridiculous pile you often get). Consider bringing a white noise machine if nighttime train whistles bother you. Thank you, Becky and Chuck, for a lovely stay and the opportunity to explore Dubuque!
Becky and Chuck were amazing hosts! The cupcakes they made were delicious! The home was beautiful with nice views! It was a great place to stay in between baseball games and to spend some quality time with the family!
