The property is very private. It’s very convenient to the Roadside Park across the highway for great views. (The listing should list address as 5470; not 5471. ). We’d stay there again. Well equipped with linens and kitchen supplies.
This cabin suited our family needs perfectly! Just a short drive away from the city, we enjoyed easy access to all Mackinac had to offer. Then every evening we were tucked back in the woods for a peaceful, serene evening. The cabin was well stocked with towels, kitchen ware…everything we needed. Loved this property and would return again.
Great!
This was a better than expected experience! Absolutely beautiful property. Cabin was beyond what we were looking for. Clean, well equipped, and beautifully maintained. The pictures were nice but did not do the surrounding property it’s justice. We were overall very pleased.
Property is very beautiful, the creek and the fireplace after a long 10-12 hour day is where it’s at! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This house was super clean and had everything you would need for your stay. We plan to book again next winter. 10/10
Beautiful property, love the creek out back and beautiful wooded setting close to Lake Huron and the Bridge. Loved the fireplace!!
Such a lovely place! Rly enjoyed staying here just wish we would’ve booked for longer;) love the creek out back as well probably my fav thing about the whole place.
The four of us really enjoyed the quietness, the outdoors, spacious cabin, clean. My six year old grandson wanted to leave macanaw island to go back to the log cabin.
We rented this as an alternative to 2 hotel rooms for my family and expected it would be nicer than hotel living. But it truly was more than expected, and everyone was very comfortable and had so much fun! The kids loved playing in the stream and having breakfast in the gazebo.
Lovely, spacious and very clean cabin! We enjoyed our stay very much and the sound of the trout stream out back was LOVELY and peaceful! We even saw some brown trout in it. The cabin had everything, plus more, that we needed to be comfortable. We started a nice fire and had a fun girls weekend. We utilized the walking trail connected to the property. We felt safe and secure and enjoyed our surroundings. Monique was a doll to communicate with. The beds were comfy and we adored the paper plate rack in the kitchen and we loved the cabiny decor and all the games in the closet. Thank you so much for a great place to spend our last night in MI. Highly recommend!
My wife and I traveled here with friends from Iowa. Spent 3 nights at this location and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The home is well equipped and very clean. Weather was cool outside, so the fireplace got a good workout. We could all sit comfortably on the large sectional sofa and chat while enjoying an adult beverage. The setting is very quiet and peaceful, just a short drive to Mackinaw City. Next time we visit we will be sure to bring the bicycles and make use of the bike path the runs adjacent to the property. Monique was very prompt in returning messages whenever I texted her. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back Dennis & Peg Heller
Four of us adults spent 4 days at the end of April for a short spring getaway. We had chilly weather but it was sunny and perfect for some hiking near Lake Huron, visiting the Headlands Dark Sky Park and area breweries/restaurants. We even took a short trip over the Mackinac Bridge for some food and a visit to a state park in St. Ignace. Monique was a fabulous owner to work with, answered all of our calls and e mails very promptly, made sure the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is on several wooded acres and it was fun to explore the woods behind the house. Perfect location between Cheboygan and Mackinaw City, right across the street from a park on Lake Huron.
