Beautiful, Safe, Clean, Spacious 2 bd/1ba in N San Jose 951311

Our stay at this home was terrible. The listing claims it’s a 2-bedroom, but one of the rooms is just a converted garage, making the layout dark and uncomfortable.The biggest issue was the ant infestation in the kitchen. Ants were all over the floors, walls and an outlet near the counter. We left our takeout on the counter while settling in, only to find it covered in ants when we went to eat. We had to throw away our entire meal. The owner showed no remorse and offered no reimbursement.The entrance was another headache. The wooden door next to the garage has a misaligned lock, forcing us to lift the door just to lock it properly. It also doesn’t open all the way because the floor is slightly higher, which caused us to walk into it multiple times.The furniture was an absolute joke. The couch was incredibly uncomfortable—you could feel the dips when sitting on it. Every piece of furniture was below basic, like they had been picked up off the street. Even the hangers were mismatched from random department stores. There weren’t any full-size mirrors, just two small ones. And to top it off, the microwave was so tiny that regular plates didn’t even fit inside.This place was a complete disaster. Poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and not at all as described. Would never stay here again.

In town for to nights for a Niners game, place worked well. Close to tram that goes to the stadium.

the cleaning of the property was not up to standard there was mold in the ice tray blood on the walls and on the drapes the floor was not safe to walk on in bare feet the place was good to visit with the kids nice park for them to play in

I reserved a one night stay 4 months ago and arrived in San Jose without any access instructions after the designated check in time. When I messaged the property owner he responded for me to call VRBO customer service which I had and was on hold for 20 mins to speak with someone (after it took forever to find the number to call). I messaged the property owner back and asked if my reservation was canceled or changed and he responded by telling me it was cancelled and he refunded me - I haven’t seen the refund yet and had to book a night through another site at 4:30pm the day of my stay. I spoke with customer service who told me it was cancelled, took my phone number in case we got disconnected and then was disconnected upon transfer to the department who was supposed to help re-book me. This was a very disappointing start to my vacation and I was very dissatisfied with how my stay was handled. I will be checking my credit card to make sure the refund shows up but would like someone from VRBO to reach out to me regarding this poor experience. Why take someone’s number if you’re not going to call them back?!
