First floor -- living room with high ceilings eat-in kitchen and French doors to a small private patio.

Second floor - Two bedrooms are separated by a super small study with two separate doors to each of the bedrooms. One bedroom has access to this study.

Third Floor -- Two bedrooms one on each end of the hall. The front bedroom has two doors, one to the hall, one to the bathroom. The bathroom on this floor is in the middle of the floor with two doors, one to the front bathroom and one to the hall accessible for the back bedroom.

The house has central air and hardwood floors throughout.

We fell in love with this bright and airy corner town home's high ceilings, original details, and amazing desirable location.

We've aimed to furnish the entire house for a comfortable stay while maintaining this historical house's charm and details.

The beds are made with freshly laundered sheets, towels, and of course, cleaned for your stay.

Please note this is an older house and while we do our best to clean we are in the city and critter and pests may enter the house. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not book.

We purchased this home after enjoying hosting a smaller house nearby that is my parents' primary home when they are in the United States. We hope you will enjoy your stay in this new house during your visit to Philadelphia. Please note we do not allow for local guests. Please let me know the reason for your visit.

The pictures are accurate, but they miss details. We found the property to be generally unclean…the rugs were visibly dirty, the floors were in serious need of a deep clean, and there were ants in the kitchen. We were traveling with young children and checked out a day early because we were uncomfortable with them on the floor. Our 9 year old complained about his bed being too hard and he didn’t sleep at all. Whomever was responsible for cleaning the place also left damp towels for us to use. All in all, this property has a ton of potential, but the owners haven’t really invested into making this a comfortable place for families.

There were a few issues with this property. The first night while watching TV a mouse ran across the kitchen floor. I let the host know right away, she came the next day with mouse traps. Before the host arrived to address the mouse issue, I noticed ants on the kitchen counter by the sink and appliances. The host came while we were out and left the traps for the mouse and ants. She put several mouse traps in the kitchen and ant traps on the floor, I/we did not see another mouse for the rest of stay, but the ants got into the Keurig and it was unusable, as was the kitchen due to the ants. I updated the host about the ants in the coffee maker and before she returned, the shower doors in the second floor bathroom would not open and close with ease. The host said she would be there within 15 minutes to clean the coffee maker and address the shower doors. It looked like the single small screw was stripped. I spoke with the host who took issue with how the shower doors had broken. The shower door track was old and in disrepair, and the host did not and could not fix it. As a result we had one usable shower for 8 people as of Friday. The host claimed someone must have pulled on them. While the host was responsive, the problems were not resolved. An exterminator is needed before guests are allowed to stay in the house and the shower doors needs to be fixed and the host needs to check these things before guests arrive. The location was great and close to eateries/sites.

The house was beautiful with all the natural light and the style of the house. However, the parking was not the greatest to find and there was some trash left in the one bedroom. Other than that the house was comfortable and we had a pleasant stay.

Excellent choice for Philly. Location cannot be beat. The immediate area is filled with great places to eat (The Dandelion, The Winder, Guisseppe & Sons). Easy walk to the historic sites. Four bedrooms were great for our three generation family visit. Kitchen is well equipped. It is a very old house so the floor are a little noisy but that is the charm of being in the city.

5 Stars: Perfect Family Base in Philly!Location, location, location! My family and I just wrapped up a wonderful stay here. If you’re visiting Philadelphia, this is the spot—it’s incredibly convenient to everything. We spent our days at the local kids' museums, which were all just a short, easy drive away.A few highlights from our trip:• The Neighborhood: There is a neat little coffee shop called The Black Turtle just down the street. Do yourself a favor and try the bourbon-style coffee. You’re welcome!• The Host: Sophie was unbelievably responsive and truly couldn't have been a better host. She made the whole process seamless.• The Vibe: The home is over 100 years old, so you should expect some character—yes, there are creaks and cracks—but the charm is absolutely there. It felt like a real home.We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in town. Thanks for a great stay, Sophie!

Older building (circa 1900), three stories, creaky floors and steps, unit is as it is appears. We loved the location -- easy walk to the historical parts of the city we wanted (20-30 minutes) and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Parking one block away for 25/day.I've stayed in many newer/nicer VRBOs, and gave it 5 stars brecause it was described as such. If that is what you are expecting, you will love this property. If you expect modern luxury, this isn't the property for you -- but we would stay again in a heartbeat.Thank you!

This house is in a great location, close to many restaurants and historical locations. Parking garages are less than a block away and are easy to use. Ample space for a large family or a group of friends. Home is clean and check-in was a breeze. Beds are a bit stiff, but that's just a personal preference. Highly recommend!!

We used a parking garage right down the street for the night which was convenient. Only trouble we had was I thought the locks for the two doors was dofficult. We managed. Would stay again!

We had a great stay! We were taking a long road trip and needed a place to stay for one night along the way. Condo was perfect. Very cozy decor, plenty of space for my family of 4 to spread out. Near great restaurants within a very short walk. Parking next door. Had all the amenities. Owners super responsive and made sure we were all set for the stay. Even double checked to make sure we parked in a legit lot. Only downside is beds were super firm but I think that is a personal preference. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Overall a good choice and would stay again. Great location in Rittenhouse Square area. House is old but has been partially updated. Could have been cleaner as baseboards and top of fridge were quite dirty. Kitchen was sufficiently stocked with coffee machines, dishes, pots, pans, silverware. Floors and stairs are creaky, old, and appear dirty. Beds were.hard as other reviewers noted, but adequate. Really the location is the driving reason to stay here. Heck in/out was easy.

This is a cozy and charming house in a great neighborhood and easily walkable to the convention center and nearby restaurants. The beds were overly firm for most of us, but we all slept fine. Bathrooms are tiny and have no vanity space, so make sure that you have portability for your toiletries.

Our family decided to take a quick stop in Philly on our way to our final destination in New Jersey. This was the perfect spot. We were halfway between the historical Liberty bell and independence hall and the Franklin Museum and Rocky steps. The place was so clean and so cute and Sophie was so easy to reach and quick to respond to our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

My family of five (mom, dad, and three girls ages 17, 20, and 23) stayed here for three nights. We wanted to spend some time exploring Philadelphia, and this was a great home base for it. There are two overnight parking lots/garages on the block (no in/out though, so plan to find other transportation around the city) which was very convenient. We used public transportation some, walked some, and Ubered some. The house was very well-appointed; it had pretty much anything you might need during your stay. We loved having four bedrooms - what a treat for each of the girls to have their own room while traveling! We decided that must have been why everyone was in such a good mood while we were there. The mattresses are quite firm, which some of our family members liked more than others. There are also two steep staircases to get the the second and third floors (two bedrooms on each floor) so if you have mobility issues, that could be a problem. Sophie, the owner, was very responsive and helpful with advice for how to get around the city and where to park. I would definitely recommend this home to a family or group of four or five people (there is room for eight to sleep in the four rooms but only five seats in the living area and only five could likely sit comfortably at the adorable built in kitchen booth). It was a great visit to Philly!

A disappointing stay due to the conditions. Not cleaned sufficiently from prior use. Dirty bathroom, kitchen area and floors. Interior door lock was often stuck and difficult to open. Insufficient lighting requiring us to bring lamps from the bedrooms. All beds were overly firm. Don’t understand why other reviews could be so positive. Easy to communicate with owner.
