Nice house layout with a lovely patio and rooftop with a central location. Several folks in our group had issues with ants around luggage/clothes, beds in addition to the kitchen.
Location was great!
We were in town for our son’s wedding. This house was in the perfect location to the venue, restaurants, beach and it was very walkable to everything. The house was clean, quiet neighborhood, it had everything we needed. Plenty of room for 4 couples. We would definitely rent this house again. Nick was a great host.
Bedrooms were large and comfortable. Views of the ocean and San Diego sunsets from the rooftop deck were spectacular. Grocery store was a quick 2 minute drive or (slightly sketchy at 7 pm) 7 minute walk away. Breakfast Republic around the corner was outstanding. Garage parking was very convenient. We had excellent access to major roads to get to La Jolla, UCSD, PB, Mission Bay, downtown. Beach gear was good to have. Great access to major beaches too. Overall, a great place. I would recommend it
The house, area, proximity to location, and area to spread out was outstanding! Nick was an excellent host to my family and I, he answered all the questions I had before and during our stay. Each room upstairs had a washroom and shower, the balcony provided a fun relaxing space with view of much of La Jolla. The home was in great shape, clean, and so spacious! Walking 100 or so yards to grab some tacos and pizza was a welcoming surprise! The house was equipped to handle the needs of my family and I, the proximity to beaches, tide pools, and amenities in the area was great, and overall we had an enjoyable experience and created some Lasting memories. Thank you for everything!
Overall experience was amazing. Would definitely stay there again
Our time in La Jolla couldn't have been any better. The home was beautiful, with every possible accommodation. Nick was a wonderful host. Our family enjoyed our time either hanging out at the house, grilling and relaxing on the patio, or taking a walk to the cove. The neighborhood is very walkable, everything you need is just a few minutes away. Wish we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely look to stay again, hopefully soon. Thank you so much.
We had a great stay as a group of friends visiting La Jolla for a wedding. Lots of space and very walkable to around La Jolla!
We arrived to find the home occupied by another family. We immediately tried to call the property manager but got no answer or call back. We spent 30 minutes on hold with VRBO customer service who also could not get ahold of the property manager. VRBO was going to put us in a hotel for the night when we finally got a message on the app, no phone call. The message said sorry we mixed up the bookings with the next door property, you should be good to go, enjoy your night. It was kind of weird not knowing how long the people had been in the home before us or what all they had done inside and not having it cleaned. In the Vrbo app the location of the property is way off. The pin drop shows the property a couple blocks from the beach but its actually 8. This isn't walking distance when carrying your chairs and other beach gear. The air conditioning was off in the home which made it very warm. It took 4 hours for it to come down to a comfortable level. Opening windows is not effective. The washing machine had wet bedding in it and the dryer was full as well. There were some other small things like light bulbs burned out, and dirty ac intake vents. We found it odd there was no vent for the cook top in the kitchen so we did most of our cooking outside on the grill. The grill does have a gas leak so turn the main valve off when not in use. Better lighting out back for evening meals would be nice. Our biggest complaints were not being able to get ahold of the property manager and the inaccurate location of the home. Overall we enjoyed our stay but wanted to leave some honest feedback.
We’ came to La Jolla for our family vacation and was originally scheduled to stay for 4 nights but we were not ready to leave this beautiful beach city. So after searching for a reasonably priced property to extend our stay we came across this property on VRBO and so glad that we did. The place was so nice, and felt so comfortable and secure. The home was very clean, and loved the decor and amenities that were provided during our stay. We wished we would have ran into this property from the very first day of our visit to La Jolla. Although, our stay in this property was short, it made the end of our trip super sweet. We enjoyed every space of the property from the large family dining table to the roof top overlooking the city and the beach. We will definitely be back to visit and when we do this place will be our #1 pick. Thanks to the host Nick for the hospitality! - The Ramirez-Vera Family
My siblings and I all booked different houses for a San Diego family reunion. This house was hands down the best. The location is perfect, steps away from great food options and a very short drive or a leisurely 15 minute walk to the beach. What set it apart is the pristine condition of the house. When renting near the beach you expect a musty smell and a well used property (like my siblings had) this was not like that at all. This has a more modern decor, is immaculately cleaned and very well maintained. Layout was perfect, communication with the host was a breeze, house was ready on time and was well stocked with what we needed. Everyone insisted on gathering at our house. We did a pot luck dinner where everyone picked their own meal (great tacos, Chinese, vegan and Italian straight out of Italy (Cafe Milano!!)) and walked to pick it up. Upstairs bedrooms all have their own bathroom and are very comfortable and private. Laundry room very nice, garage was great, kitchen perfect and outdoor back yard and roof were perfect. Great, great stay, we have no suggestions for improvement - thank you!!!
Great restaurants, activities and shopping in La Jolla within walking distance of the property. Property was very clean and comfortable for our party of 8. We were in town for a wedding on Coronado Island, so our days were free to explore San Diego. Easy drive to Coronado, and Mission Beach and Torrey Pines State park. Would definitely stay at this property again.
Great location and attractively furnished home.
Great location. Clean. Owner very responsive
We had such a good week at this house in the La Jolla area. Great food choices close by for breakfast lunch and dinner, grocery store right around the corner, and beautiful neighborhood and each walks to the beach front. The host was very helpful with kid related questions and what the house offered. The back yard area has a great outdoor table & grill and the rooftop patio was a bonus. We'll be back!
Had a great stay in CA. Loved the location of this property, very walkable area! The Taco Stand is a must!
