Stayed Aug 26, 2024Lovely house, really clean and well equipped with large spacious rooms. Central in chateau thierry so great base to explore from and 45 mins to Disney. There is no parking available but you can park for free just around the corner for free and we had no trouble getting a space.

Stayed May 16, 2023This house is a real gem. It is wonderfully large, has a great kitchen and a terrace, and a Jacuzzi-type bathtub. Check-in and check-out were both extremely easy and smooth. Chateau-Thierry is a town at the edge of the Champagne region and has several Word War I-related historic sites to visit, and a medieval castle complex that is much extensive than I expected; the views alone are worth going up there. There are also pretty footpaths around the outside of town that traverse champagne vineyards and more provide scenic overlooks, if you are a hiker. The house is a perfect base for exploring the region if you have a car, but perhaps the best thing about it -- and Chateau-Thierry in general -- is that its on a Paris commuter line, so you can use it as a country retreat from the city even if you don't have a car. Wonderful place!

Stayed Apr 29, 2023The owner is friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. The house is very spacious and very old. It has the charm of olden days, but combines it with modern comfort. It is located in the city center, extremely close to a small but very convenient supermarket, a bakery, and other stores. In spite of this central location, parking was easy. Most of the times, parking was available directly opposite the house. If not, plenty of additional parking is available at only 2-3 minutes walking distance. Some noise from early traffic is to be expected in the mornings. We liked Chateau Thierry because it is quite close to both the champagne district and Disneyland. A day trip to Paris is easy as well, as direct trains take you to Paris in an hour, and there is ample free parking at the railway station.
